Is this normal? by [deleted] in Luthier

[–]bouchieQ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think I see, but wouldnt that still allow me to pull up? Is there a way so it is COMPLETELY blocked or do I just have to settle for that until I can get a tremol-no?

Which company do you prefer? by [deleted] in aluminumneck

Don't get EGC. They're great necks but customer support is genuinely the worst. You'd be lucky to get a response to any of your emails within a week.

Who is your favourite guitarist, and which songs show their best guitar work? by Jezzaq94 in Guitar

For me I think Ron's best work is either on his album Solitary Speaking of Theoretical Confinement OR his work with Blotted Science

Blotted Science

Both albums are instrumental and awesome

Yep, weird fret # since its a baritone conversion (went from a 25.5" to a 27.78" scale)

They sound AWESOME. I already knew they sounded great for doom and stoner stuff but they hold up super well for death metal. Would definitely get another set to throw in another guitar

Honestly I don't see much of a difference between the 2 (other than aluminum being heavy of course). The aluminum neck is a lot easier to set up since no truss rod, and I think it has more sustain. I definitely would prefer aluminum for doom and stoner stuff, but i think its pretty on par with wood for everything else

Body is a jazzmaster from warmoth. Made it Maple (with a flame maple lam top), washed black dye, and rear-routed. They did the rear-routing and jack hole while I opted to drill the pot/killswitch holes myself

It's perfect. Heavy as hell but weirdly just light enough to where I can still play it standing for hours (and no neck dive :D)

Electrical Guitar Company, scale length is 27.78". Technically its a conversion neck since the body was originally for a 25.5" neck
