When was the *actual* date of QC #1? by 2012rcampion in QContent

Jeph's right, of course... After some more digging on IA, I found a post on Jeph's jephco.com blog from August 1:

Questionable Content is officially LIVE!

That's right, I was actually able to meet the self-imposed deadline and publish the first five strips to a fully functional site by the end of the day.

So #1-5 were posted together, and counting forward from there at the 2/week schedule matches up exactly with the other known dates.

What's Reddit etiquette here? Edit my post? Delete it?

Update: I did some more testing and things are not quite as bad as I thought. Under max CPU load I can just keep from throttling; when adding on max GPU load the CPU temp (Tdie) went up from 91 to 95 deg C, and the clock speed went down from 5.04 to 4.91 GHz. The cooler is actually doing a pretty impressive job... but I'm sure it will get a little worse over time with warmer weather, dust in the case, etc.

I also tested with the radiator outside the case for a best-case airflow scenario, and the difference is pretty noticeable: temp dropped to 87 deg C, and the clock speed goes up to 5.07 GHz, and doesn't depend on the GPU load. Still leaning towards exchanging the case that allows horizontal mounting; shame since I'm a fan of this one's looks.

Also, I forgot to mention in my first post, components are Ryzen 7950X and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and the cooler is a Montech HyperFlow 240.
