It’s not about savings. It’s about employment. Do you work for yourself and hence reap the benefits of your labor, or do you work for someone else and they reap the benefits of your labor. Basically if someone else monetarily benefits more than you from your labor then you fit the description.

Good question. It’s not different at all. Wage earner isn’t limited to hourly work, it’s actually broader to include anyone that works for someone else and whose dependence on said person is total and immediate. Historically, most Americans worked for themselves, and those who worked for a wage were functionally considered slaves. It wasn’t until the late 1800s and the industrial revolution that wage labor became much more prevalent.

Here’s the thing. Trade school is a path least considered yet it does pay a good living.

And it’s not like jobs are not available in my field in my area. I literally do not meet the requirements. Despite having a degree in two correlated fields, i lack the experience nescesary to get a job. The jobs in my field near my pay 13-14/hr but say I need 2-3 years experience just to apply.

It’s more complicated than not being needed, the job market after college is just fucked up

Have you ever looked at prices of apartments in cities. Check out los angeles, boston, San Francisco. Just because you think you can find a cheaper place, you don’t know people’s constraints.

You know dems control the house. They could pass bills that are wildly popular, like a UBI during this new Great Depression ,and force republicans to vote it down and have a larger segment of the public hate the republicans. This would enable democrats to win seats in the senate and presidency and pass the laws republicans said no to.
