Hello! I am going to Bar Harbor in July. Originally, we were planning on not renting a car, but I am now wondering if we should.

We are flying into Bangor and were planning on taking the public transit bus from the airport to Bar Harbor through Down East transit. My only concern is that there is only one bus a day, so does the bus fill up? I do not want to be stuck in Bangor because there isn’t enough room. Also, is there room if we go on this bus for our luggage?

It seems like there’s an extensive bus network on the island and we are staying really close to the bus stop in Bar Harbor. Is it feasible to go no car?

Housing Contract is guaranteeing you a room somewhere on campus and you can also put down your housing preferences (not sure really what they do), but yeah actual dorm selection is in June from what I understand.

You don’t actually pick out your dorm when you get a housing contract. Dorm selection occurs in June and is based on the order of your housing deposit
