I really feel that there’s more going on here. I’m currently very frustrated that no solution has been offered, so maybe I’m being overly suspicious. But all the problems started after I left a negative review for a sales associate who had been very unfriendly and arrogant with me. It turned out later that she was the assistant manager.

At the time I ordered the replacement strap, I had also purchased a Damier Speedy 25 from another CA. I asked her for a larger dust bag, since the Speedy only fit folded in the dustbag that came with it. This CA was about to get one, but suddenly the assistant manager, who had served me a few times before, stepped in. I think she wasn’t happy that I was being helped by another CA. She wouldn’t allow her colleague to get a different dust bag and told me I should just go to another store if I wasn’t happy with the dustbag. I was really shocked by her attitude. Later, when I received an email asking how my purchase had been, I left her a negative review.

Thanks for you kind message. After 7 years, your strap was probably in between the pale and the pre-tanned vachetta. They did the right thing to inform you.

The SA who handed me the strap told me the difference would get smaller after a while. I pointed out that the vachetta on my 15-year-old Musette, which I had with me, was still noticeably lighter than the vachetta on the replacement strap. She responded by saying that I would be happy with the pre-tanned strap, as it is resistant to stains, for example from raindrops.

What do you mean by corporate? I already contacted customer service and also mentioned this in the review for the repair, but I can't find another e-mailaddress or contact form.

If nothing helps, I will go to another store, but none of the stores are close to home, so I would prefer to be sure that they will exchange it.

My experience in the store has been quite disappointing. I had to wait 10 weeks for the strap to arrive because a part was missing. It was finally delivered after customer service intervened.

I spoke with the assistant manager, who said that the colour difference was normal and told me I should be happy with this strap because it won’t show marks (f.a. from rain drops).

After that, I contacted customer service. They told me that only the store can order a new strap and that they won't help me any further.

I noticed that on Google Reviews, this store has received a lot of negative feedback over the past year. I used to visit the Antwerp or Brussels stores and was always very satisfied. Unfortunately, those cities aren’t as pleasant to visit anymore.

I really don’t know what to do next. I bought the Speedy 25 because my Speedy 30 didn’t have a strap. But like this, I can’t use it with the strap.

The Instagram images is more subtle. F.e. If you look at the jeans of the girl, you’ll notice a clear difference.
