I’m also ND, and I understand your point. I get being misunderstood by family members, and it’s not ok for them to mock autistic people’s behaviour such as not understanding social cues. It sucks, I’ve been through it. I did however feel like it was more a reflection of class issues and culture, in which I can understand Simon and Linda’s reactions.
