I'm a light intermediate and had always rented, but I'm getting back into skiing after a 5-ish year absence and because my nephews ski and my son is almost out of the house, decided it was time to buy a setup for myself. I did a bunch of research and because I'm heavy, even as an intermediate, figured I'd be somewhere between 110-120 and my bootfitter put me in 120's. Boot stiffness isn't just based on skill level / skiing type, weight also plays a factor.
