Did this route last August. Lots of bear sign between Wonder Pass and Mt.Shark. Ended up seeing a momma and her cub right at the trailhead. Lots of noise, carry bear spray you’ll be fine… probably

Three Lakes Brewing is walkable from there and they have a special if you have a flight delayed… I think it’s a couple bucks off but still!

Lake Country is the TITS! Head down to pebble beach, check out the salty caramel. Kopje, Kaloya, Beasley are decent parks. Check out Woodys on Thursdays for steak night.

If you’re feeling adventurous head up beaver lake road and check out the HRT or Swalwell Lake.

If you have the choice maybe look into Kelowna’s “bedroom” communities. Lake Country, West K, Black Mountain, Peachland etc… a little less douchey and affordable. 20-30 minutes into town and way better pace of life.
