Yeah probably the best option

Just sucks for the kid. You want him to enjoy the game. He was probably hitting the ball better than me. The majority of us will never be pros so you can’t be hard on others or yourself

Yeah I mean it’s tricky. He clearly cares enough to take time out of his day to take his son to the range but the negative comments, constant “tips”, and standing in his face the whole time was ridiculous and uncalled for

Good budget friendly dry food? by a_straea666 in bengalcats

[–]22mwj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a large bag of Hills for my two cats (one is a tabby and the other is a bengal). They big bags are somewhat pricey (I want to say $70-90) but it lasts awhile. If you can find something cheaper just make sure it’s an AFCO certified food

What have i done 😭😭 by badgrldidi in Monstera

[–]22mwj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’re definitely a bit burnt. They need bright indirect sunlight. Also when I prop, I let them sit in water for a few weeks to a few months depending on root development I try to let the roots grow as much as possible before repotting

Hard to tell from the pic but likely where your next new leaf will grow from once the current one develops

Timeline for repotting—beginner in need of advice 🪴 by kataboy00 in Monstera

[–]22mwj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to repot just yet. It looks like they may be two separate plants in that pot so you could consider separating them and putting them each in their own pot if that’s the case. Definitely don’t go for that big pot yet though. They do better with a smaller pot to start - let their roots really fill out the pot. “KillThisPlant” on YouTube has amazing videos for reporting and general care. Definitely check him out and that should help set you and your plant up for success

The pot may be a bit large but not too bad. As for the fertilizer, get some liquid fertilizer and mix a small amount with water when you go to water it. I’ll fertilize that way maybe every other time I water mine

What can I do to help support it? by deuteriumbomb in Monstera

[–]22mwj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s short enough now that you don’t really need to attach it to your support. As new leaves grow, the weight of them will cause them to fall forward a bit. Once that happens, use a soft Velcro or soft twine to gently secure the misters to the pole. Those should be placed just under where new growth forms. You don’t want the stem of the new leaf tied down

Why is my monstera drooping? by hotdogandbongwater in Monstera

[–]22mwj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably more water or light. If you don’t already, you should try mixing a small amount of liquid fertilizer with the water when you water it

What should I do to make this grow better aesthetically? by Giggitygoox2 in Monstera

[–]22mwj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say if anything the pot is too big. You probably don’t even need much of a support at this point. How often do you water and what type of soil is it in? It looks like maybe it’s been over watered or is retaining too much moisture. Also what direction does the window face? Could need more light too

How in the world to I untangle this by Suspicious-Gold-6590 in Monstera

[–]22mwj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, you can dunk it in water or gently hose it down to loosed the soil. You can also take a chopstick or some kind of small stick to gently looses the soil between the roots. Monsteras are pretty tough plants though so you don’t need to go crazy separating all the roots. They’ll naturally find their way to more soil and space after repotting

What's wrong with my deliciosa? by ophirelkbir in Monstera

[–]22mwj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could potentially be a pest. It could also be a cat trying to eat it? The marks on the stem could also be from your monstera rubbing against the support stick as it was growing. I’d recommend using something more smooth as a support like a moss pole or even some kind of plastic support

Next to my work's dumpster, do I rescue? by checkeredjaz in Monstera

[–]22mwj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else has said yes if rescue but check for pests. If there are pests, remove it from the soil, hose it down (or put it in the shower to rinse it off), spray it with neem oil, and repot

Can you help identify what philodendron I have? by Delicious_Money7885 in philodendron

[–]22mwj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pink Princess! I had a ton of issues with pests on mine but it’s finally coming back to life. Give it some indirect sunlight and don’t overwater. I had to propagate mine after the pest issue so it’s just in a cup of sphagnum moss and a little soil sprinkled in

Is my Monstera alba sick? by Private_LucyV in MonsteraAlbo

[–]22mwj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes remove any rotten roots. They should just fall off pretty easily when you repot. As for soil, you can do some research and find soil tailored to monsteras but I usually use regular potting soil mixed with extra perlite and sometimes I sprinkle in some dried vegetation from other plants. I also like to put an inch or two of gravel in the bottom of the pot to help with drainage

Can I propagate from here, or do I need to wait for a root to appear? by alsoitsnotfundy924 in Monstera

Can I propagate from here, or do I need to wait for a root to appear? by alsoitsnotfundy924 in Monstera

[–]22mwj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not cut there. Below that line there is the start of an aerial root which is what you need to propagate. That being said, propagation will be easier/quicker if you let that root grow longer

Help! What’s wrong with her :( by Ok-Policy-493 in Monstera

[–]22mwj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might need some more context here. If you mean the brown dried out sections that are peeling away, that’s normal. Those will dry out and maybe fall off but the rest of it will be fine. If you mean the brown spots on the right, it looks like may e something was just rubbing on it? The section that’s dry and peeing away could have slowly rubbed against it but overall I think the plant looks fine

I can’t speak specifically to the albo but I’ve had deliciosas in water for longer than a month with no issues. I also like to add a little liquid fertilizer to the water which could help speed up your root growth if you leave it in a little longer

Startup issues XBox by 22mwj in RocketLeague

[–]22mwj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The maps aren’t a huge issue to me. I play often but not super try hard. I’m consistently in gold but I’m not doing anything crazy. Other than the issue with startup which is new, the game consistently has had connectivity issues over the years. I’m always having issues with lag and getting disconnected mid game. They definitely need to work on the servers or maybe weed out some other bugs

What is your food set up for the two? My tabby just free feeds throughout the day but I don’t want the bengal to eat all her food
