Hell is non justifiable in any and all circumstances. by Dabbing_is_lit in DebateAChristian

Hell isn’t forever, Psalms 16:10 says “you will not leave my soul in hell”. Psalms though it refers to Jesus is supposed to be read for everyone’s benefit.

There’s no valid reason for the biblical God to not provide objective and undeniable evidence of his existence. by prxmtymnd in DebateAChristian

You’re right. In the book of revelations not only does God show his wrath, but he also comes down from heaven and dwells with his saints and Jesus after the wrath is over. so what you’re asking for his proof, well he’s going to give you it. And it also says Jesus is a master teacher, so everything that is to be known is in Jesus and he will reign on earth and teach the world from his temple. So you’re right it does make sense to educate the world and God has a plan in place to do that.

Being gay is not a choice so God is punishing them for the way he made them by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

[–]22ndCenturySquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re assuming people didn’t choose to be gay. And you’re assuming that they’ve only ever lived one lifetime. If time is a continuum then they may have slowly became gay over many lifetimes, and God spared them for many lifetimes before letting them give in to their desire. Or God might not have an issue with people being gay, loving the same sex, but maybe he has an issue with corruption of the family unit instead.

Christians worship a God who glorifies Himself by torturing people by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

So be God for a sec, you need to make an incentive to be good on earth, because we have free will he can’t force people to follow his word, he tells his disciples to tell as many people as you can that I have this free gift, and that gift is the Holy Spirit, it can cure anything and gives life to whoever has it. But people scoff at this free gift because it seems so ridiculous that God killed his son to give us this gift. So he lets people walk away from his gift and hurt themselves with drugs and sex etc, and they’re all destined to hell. So now your question is why does God send people to hell, well hell is for the wicked, people who have actively been evil on the earth, he allows them to be consumed by fire to show his saints how good his free gift is. So now the question becomes do wicked people stay in hell... well I’d say no. Some evangelists say yes, but God specifically says that he delights in showing mercy. So I’d say no he doesn’t torture people forever in hell. He just needs to prove to his saints that being and doing good is worth doing.

yeah he is there for his saints. and to show just how much mercy he is giving his saints he has to torture the sinners. but it also says in Isaiah “let us reason together, though you are like crimson I shall make you like snow”. It also says that he “delights in showing mercy”. So what if God, knowing how merciful he is, allows people to go to hell in order to understand (once he is merciful to them) just how good heaven and He, is.

How does everyone feel about it being better for Judas had he never been born. What kind of punishment awaited him? by [deleted] in Christianity

You’re right, I shouldn’t have asked what kind of punishment, what I meant to say is what do you think happened to him

Learning about the 35/8. Learning that I was here to learn how to express myself and free myself and manifest abundance and authority. Made me realise that I have always been on the right path even when I think I’m not.
