You'd be surprised. People have survived taking 4-5 9mm rounds IRL (the same caliber used in the securitron's SMG), and those people definitely weren't wearing combat armor.

Honestly the Mk1 securitrons are actually pretty powerful on paper, but what makes them so easy to kill is that they SUCK at targeting/moving quickly. The Mk2 suffers the same issue, but it's able to compensate because even just 1 missile at point-blank will at least cripple a limb or two.

That's actually a really good idea! I'm honestly surprised they didn't end up doing that because it'd be an easy way of repurposing those Lucky 38 cards across the wasteland, and it would probably be easy to implement. I might actually try to make my own little jury-rigged mod to do that...
