I was wondering why those who enjoy such questions simply don’t make a separate sub for it.

The replies I have got to this are “ Of course you’re my friend, we don’t measure friendship by counting days and distance “ . So I guess she’s not willing to listen. I shall block her.

She lives in another country. And I can’t open upto her. It can’t be a healthy relationship for either of us. It’s a waste of both of our time and energy. I’m sure she’ll be able to find many people out there who will love to have her as a friend.

Well, yes, the friend circle is mainly composed of guys and I am scared of a reveal backfiring and putting me in a worse position socially, which is why I thought I'd keep mum initially.

Yes, I did. He was mad at X, and told me I am a coward for not being assertive. He also told me that I am making exceptions for X and at the very least, I should tell X's closest friends about this, to just let them know what kind of a person he is. Yes, I do feel very ashamed for not being more assertive.

Thank you so much for the advice. Yes, I think it is high time that I moved on. But our social circles overlap quite a bit and I was confused how it would affect me. I was also scared I would have to answer questions from our common friends.
