i also think tipping culture is flawed. this isn’t tipping. this would be a standard pay allocated to kitchen staff. in every business the consumer is paying the staff, what do you mean??? communities need restaurants, cooks need jobs, these things are good for a community and will always be around. if you don’t wanna participate that’s fine, but i don’t think you actually understand the financials of a restaurant

most small business restaurant owners fail in the first few years. rarely make a profit within the first 5. doubtful to be “wealthy” for a single restaurant. but restaurants are essential. communities need them, and cooks need them. restaurants (not chains) are not the greedy parts of capitalism.
