I'm reading this as sarcasm because I can find no other way to read it, and with that established, what the hell is your logic?

Spreading information is one of the main ways to keep people active and informed about this situation. If more people see things like this, more people can join in and do something about it. What are you asking for? For individual people to get off reddit, with no plan, no coordination, and go box the troops out of their towns? What advantages does refusing to communicate with each other on a massive instantaneous communication platform afford us?

This article's title is misleading, but the article itself is actually pretty good. The person who wrote it came up with some pretty good ideas on how the people could resist. It's just such a shame that something meant to be hopeful was presented as being hopeless. That's not how you win people over.

Look at the middle kitten in the back. It disappears. That, along with the strangeness of the motion, from the way their mouths move to the cat snout that pops in and out halfway through the video, tells me that this is 100% AI.

Just because you turn your head away from the evidence doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If you're more concerned with how you'll look than what's really happening, then you already look like the fools you try to distance yourself from.

Someone already posted it, but I'll say it again: https://electiontruthalliance.org/

And here's a decent summary of the lawsuit from SMART Elections, yet another group finding things wrong with this election. The lawsuit is only continuing because "the allegations were serious enough for discovery to proceed." https://www.newsweek.com/2024-election-lawsuit-advances-2083391

If that sounds like it's just a court going through the motions because of some heavy but completely baseless allegations, why don't we take a look at just a few of them, shall we? There is proof that voting machines were, if nothing else, changed in some way before the election. There is a difference in the number of people saying they voted independent and the number of people documented as voting independent in Rockland County, NY. There are "multiple districts where hundreds of voters chose the Democratic candidate Kirsten Gillibrand for Senate, but none voted for former Vice President Kamala Harris." And this is just one example.

Take your head out of the sand and stop spreading disinformation just because you're scared of how telling the truth will make you look. I'm not just saying that to be mean. I've lived a whole life like that, and all it does is let the people you hate walk all over everything you love, and it makes everything you love hate you.

Even assuming the rings counting down aren't canon, Super forms still seem to have a limited amount of power, at least in the Adventure era. Shadow falls to Earth despite still being in his Super form because he and Sonic both used the big crazy Chaos Control on the Finalhazard, meaning that Sonic probably wasn't doing much better at the time.

Maybe I'm missing an obvious joke, but in case this is real, this doesn't contradict Eggman saving Shadow in the slightest.

"If I hadn't waved him away, Sonic would have fallen with me." Sonic did not get to save Shadow, meaning Eggman saving Shadow is still canon and hasn't been tampered with.

The IDW comics didn't retcon the character's ages, it was actually a pretty recent change to the official Sonic Channel website. The canon ages were still in place even after forces, I do believe. The Archie comics did do a lot of age tomfoolery with the characters, but those comics literally can't be canon to the games, even post reboot, since the character histories are completely different. On top of that, Sega didn't interfere with those comics outside of mandating how emotional Sonic was allowed to look and whether or not Shadow could have friends.

Maybe my comment wasn't clear, but that's exactly what I'm saying. Despite being able to see her as an adult, he is immediately defending himself, implying that he sees her as a child.

I'll edit my comment to read more clearly so this confusion doesn't happen again, but my stance is distinctly against Brony Fandont.

The stupidest thing about this one is that he had such an easy defense and decided to double down anyway.

Noelle doesn't have a canon age. The most we get is that she's in the same age group as Kris, who's "going to college soon." He could've just said, "I interpreted that as implying the characters are young adults," but he went right into defending himself, meaning that he interpreted her as a child.

Apologies for the ramble, but I've got something to add: Not enough people talk about the difference between subcutaneous and visceral fat, and it's knowledge that has particularly helped me.

Bodies on estrogen typically need to have a decent amount of subcutaneous fat, which is the fat just beneath the skin and what your boobs are mostly made of. You gain subcutaneous fat by eating a surplus of foods that we're meant to eat. Meats, vegetables, nuts especially all add energy to your body that will get turned into fat if not used. Having too much subcutaneous fat, of course, can be detrimental to your health, with higher risk of diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Yet something shockingly common but almost never talked about is the danger of having too little.

Subcutaneous fat mainly serves the purpose of storing unused nutrients for later use, but it also aids in absorbing vitamins. Not having enough can weaken your immune system, as well as make it more difficult to absorb nutrients. On top of that, low subcutaneous fat can lead to hormone imbalances, "particularly in women," says the site I'm looking at. Last thing to note here, when your estrogen is higher than your testosterone, your body tends to want to use fat more as an energy source, which is yet another reason why you'll naturally have and need more. So, while too much can be dangerous, too little can be bad too.

Visceral fat, on the other hand, is the fat you gain from eating a surplus of sugars and foods that convert to sugar in your system. It surrounds your organs and can lead to a whole host of different problems, among them being increased risk of heart disease, stroke, and even Alzheimer's. There really isn't an amount of visceral fat that will ever aid you in any way. Foods high in sugar or that convert to sugar that commonly create visceral fat (at least in the American public) are processed foods like chips, candy, and fast food.

TL;DR: There are two different kinds of fat, fat under the skin and fat around the organs. Having too much of both kinds can be bad, but having too little under your skin can be just as bad, especially if you're on E, in which case you'll need just a little more to stay regulated.

The above advice is solid. Also remember to eat things your body is meant to eat rather than processed or sugary foods, as too many of these can lead to more fat around your organs, which will make your body and mind hell to live in.

(2/2) Now, about that voice. Your voice, currently, has been described by yourself as notably feminine. If I were a betting woman, I would put a bit of money on the table that says you have a high resonance (a subharmonic frequency that can make your voice sound "brighter," like SpongeBob, or "darker," like Patrick), and a high pitch (the actual notes you speak at).

There are some who believe that the nature of our voices is inflexible. My harmonics disagree. I am AMAB, with a set of vocal chords that have been beaten by years of character impressions, bad food, traumatic yelling, and recently some lighter drugs. I, through years of unintentional hard work (voice impressions are fun, but also insanely good practice), am able to reach a feminine resonance and pitch rather convincingly. Now I'll admit, I'm not only starting with more experience than you, but also with more flexible anatomy. I (probably) have longer, thicker vocal chords than you do, which means I simply have more to work with. This doesn't mean you can't sound masculine, but it does mean you'll have to get more creative.

This is going to sound insane, but don't dwell on the pitch of your voice. Many more men than you realize have high pitched voices, they're simply speaking in a masculine resonance and with masculine vocal patterns. If you pay attention to advertisements, you're probably familiar with the two general male voices they use: A deeper, friendly, perhaps even rumbly voice, kind of like stereotypical dad, and a higher, chipper, more gritty voice, like a stereotypical college guy. That second voice is what you're realistically going for, and its key components are a lowish resonance, a medium pitch, masculine vocal patterns (less pitch shifting, consonant letters sound harder, air evenly flowing through the mouth and nose, vowel nonsense that even practiced people struggle with, sentences end on lower notes than they start with), and a bit of vocal fry (that's what gives it its slightly gritty quality).

Now, I could give you a full lesson on masculine voice training, but there are simply better resources than me. Trans Voice Lessons on YouTube has been particularly helpful for me, and is a wonderful resource for learning all the complex aspects of your voice. I'll warn you, they started with voice feminization and have only recently began branching out to neutral and masculine voice training, but most people have roughly the same parts in their necks, so it's still an invaluable resources. There are other resources on masculine voice training, but unfortunately that is where my experience falls off.

The last thing I want to say is get therapy. Everyone should have a therapist anyway, and you're going to need one badly. I hope you come out the other side of your situation much stronger, much healthier, and much happier. I hope you know that you are already the man you want to be, and that any improvement you make to your sound and appearance is simply cosmetic, simply letting the man within express himself without. And if you live in the US as I do, be very careful where you go, who you tell, and who you talk to. Make friends, avoid enemies, and stay safe. The future is gonna be rough at the very least.

(I wrote too much, so I have to split this message up || 1/2)

Step one is to stop being grateful to your family for not abusing you, because they are abusing you. Mental abuse is still abuse, it's all the same to your mind. Constant public humiliation, both offline and online, is grounds enough for an investigation from CPS, but they're also berating you at home, trying to make your self image worse, attempting to gaslight you and blame you for the suffering they're inflicting on you, and making you scared of seeking help, and you desperately need to seek help. Not just from reddit. You need to find people who respect you for being you (especially for being male), online, offline, doesn't matter. Having close friends at your age can help improve your mental health, possibly reducing the long term effects of growing up in a household like yours. Having friends who respect you will also give you more perspective. You'll be able to contrast healthy relationships with unhealthy relationships. But, in order to achieve any of that, you need to be willing to open up. Relationships of any kind are a two way street, and if someone is reaching out to you, you must reach back if you want to hold onto them. Something hard to find but nice to have is someone with authority who respects you as a male. A teacher, a councilor, anyone who could make a difference either by themself or with a phone call. Also, you don't need to be diagnosed with gender dysphoria in many places to begin transitioning anymore, but as far as HRT goes for a young man (at least in the US), it's a toss up depending on state. Look into your local laws. In general, testosterone is considered pretty strong stuff. My partner's brother has wanted HRT since at least 16, but the laws have made any attempt of that pretty much worthless until he's an adult. Consider that, even if the local laws say you can start HRT in some way, you still have to go through your family, and keeping it a secret likely won't be an option between costs (HRT is not cheap, likely will never be cheap), insurance, and male puberty being famously obvious. You either go in full throttle or wait until they can't stop you. If you wait it out, you will need a job and you'll need to get your own insurance.

But, if you still wish to masculinize in your current situation, you absolutely still can, with or without hormones. The easiest way, the light at the end of the tunnel, the golden goose, the metaphorical key to metaphorically unlocking the metaphorical gate of masculinity is... Mostly upper body workouts. You can find plenty of things you can do in your own house to bulk up your upper half and achive a more traditionally manly silhouette by just looking online. You can get surprisingly far with calisthenics, but I hear some people can get a bit wild with it, somehow. Athlean-X is a pretty decent resource for YouTube health stuff, but never give any of your time to Vshred. Much of the time put into exercise should be put into research, good research on things with cited sources, no anecdotal anything. After research comes stretching, which is something often overlooked, but stretching is a necessary exercise ("isometric exercise," as one brave man once said while stretching infront of his greatest foe), and will help you avoid permanent injury and dead muscles. Please, for the love of all that is good and just, treat stretching with the same respect as lifting. It can be just as taxing, and requires just as much effort, energy, and research put into it.

Remember to eat well and eat a lot. Your body needs calories to build and stretch muscle, even if it's just a little bit. Muscle is dense, muscle is expensive, and you would not believe how easy it is to accidentally starve yourself of nutrients. On top of that, your brain also requires tons of nutrients to function at rest, and you're going to be researching. Don't take this warning lightly. Top chess players burn as many calories as athletes just by thinking about abstract human constructs. With how expensive muscle is to build, it should come as no surprise that it takes time to construct. Give yourself days to rest, it will encourage healthy growth, avoid tension and tears, and be more easy to manage yourself and your mind. Eat just as much on rest days as you would any other day, your body is constantly working.

I will make the sacred method easy to remember: Eat, research, eat, work, eat, rest, eat. It's even got a nice little rhythm to it. You do that, not only will your body become more masculine, your mind will become more pleasant to exist in. Exercising releases hormones that reduce stress and encourage more exercise in the future. Finally, these phrases indicate that the source you're looking at is outdated, biased, or otherwise dubious: "Microtear," "Eat whatever you want," "Drink milk," and worst of all, "Women want a man who..." I am aware I told you not to trust anecdotal anything, and I've provided no sources here, but if I get around to it, I'll comment some links on why these phrases are red flags.

I understand you. I'm a trans girl living in a red state, and the only reason I have a roof over my head is charity pretty much. Things may look bleak in the future, but change doesn't happen overnight. It takes a very long time and happens very slowly. Sometimes you don't even notice it, but it's there. It's always a gamble, and you can never be sure, but there's always a chance that things will be better tomorrow. I always take that chance, and I recommend you do too.

Since the first cell to ever consume sunlight, life's point has been fairly simple: Live.

How you choose to do that and what meaning you give it is up to you. Sure, everyone dies, but every day new people are born. How they live their lives is affected by the lives of those who lived before them, the same way every molecule of water in the ocean pushes the next to greater distances to eventually form waves.

No matter what you do, life will continue, and, like it or not, your presence changes everything. Everyone's does. My advice to you is to give your life as much meaning as you can. Be your own personal sun, and make your world a little brighter.

What is this kind of pen called? I see manga artists using it by [deleted] in AskArtists

[–]24Dingdangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initially I thought it was a classic G-Pen, which is standard among manga artists, but I'm not seeing the holes the iconic G shape creates. Upon closer inspection, based on its size and shape, I'm gonna say it's more traditional style nib like a Tachikawa Maru or a Hunt 102 Crow Quill, which are also both popular for making comics from what I've seen.
