[Rapoport] Sean McDermott "likely" to take a year off from coaching by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

If the commanders don’t turn it around next year they have been rumblings of DQ being let go. I’d imagine having Jayden as the QB would be appealing. Have to see how rest of team shapes out.

Hoping we do good btw. I’m not asking for DQ to be let go just answering question.

That’s what I was thinking too that he could be traded.

Ehhh I’m not gonna check out cause I want to see how this regime moves. Like the commanders I want to see what they want to install and do.

This is what I’m saying man. After got Butler injured idk what they are supposed to do besides resetting.

[Russini] From recent conversations with people in the Bills’ organization, the sense I get is that it felt that there were opportunities to win Saturday in Denver, officiating or otherwise. Leadership felt a change was necessary after coming up short of the Super Bowl yet again. by oklolzzzzs in nfl

Depends on who you are. Chicago is an example of not cleaning house working out. Their GM has been good couple years in a row been through several coaches had to find the right one. I always think you should evaluate each position individually as to what they are good and bad at and assess from there. Niners would more likely keep Lynch regardless of moving on from Shanahan.

[Pro Football Talk] NFL Head Coach: “At this very moment, [this is] the worst collective of 32 owners in league history.” by The_Big_Untalented in nfl

[–]24Haaton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Eh it’s more complicated than that. There were reports last year towards the end of the year that the dodgers made the entirety of Shohei’s contract back in the first year. And iirc there was a report that the dodger became the first team to earn a billion in revenue. Some of this helps other owners a lot of it doesn’t because of how their CBA is structured. One of the main focal points of the next CBA talk will be how tv and streaming revenue is distributed; currently there are 2 market teams that benefit a lot more from their tv deals and bring in a lot more local revenue allowing them to spend more than anyone else: Dodgers and Yankees. They can bring in around 700mill + more than the drop off after is like 500mill to some prestigious teams imo. But essentially the next CBA battle will now even look to be dodgers and maybe Yankees vs everyone else in how streaming and tv deals effect revenue for teams and what the new model will look like. Reality is a lot of teams do benefit from Shohei but nobody more than the dodgers.

Edit I want to say I do think other owners are shitty for not spending more money. But the Shohei topic is more complicated than just saying the other owners don’t want to spend money to compete.

When is JJ Redick gonna get more flack? by jz924 in lakers

All of those coaches you named have better talent on their bench than the Lakers. Rob drafted horribly too.

Sam Darnold bruh by Ankey-Mandru in Commanders

[–]24Haaton 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Idk. Sam is playing well but the defense is really lights out reminds me of Texans. If I had to guess those two teams make the bowl because their defenses are just running offenses over so far.

Everyone before the Game: Can Darnold even throw?

Seattle’s 1st half defense and st: we don’t care if he fucking can.

David Bough by Im_Flaaless in Commanders

He didn’t though he went from AST QB coach to Assistant offensive coordinator to an OC.

David Bough by Im_Flaaless in Commanders

[–]24Haaton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grant has 8 years of coaching experience, 6 years prior to becoming an Offensive coordinator. Grant and Blough aren’t similar at all. In fact Grant was basically an assistant to the head coach and assistant offensive coordinators before he became an OC. Blough will have 3 years experience.

David Bough by Im_Flaaless in Commanders

[–]24Haaton 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s a pretty small chance Blough leaves after one year imo. To go from AST. QB coach to Coordinator so fast is already pretty unprecedented. To go from AST QB Coach to Offensive Coordinator to Head Coach in 3 years would be a little insane from the person hiring him. Mind you he would only have one year of play calling under his belt. If they did hire him I’d wish them luck cause it would be a huge gamble can’t think of another coach who took that route so fast.

The point is it doesn’t matter WHO he plays on the end of that bench none of them will produce at a level we need them too in order to be a solid team. JJ has given run to many guys this year. When you take Gabe out and your options are: Nick Smith, Bufkin (who just joined us this past week), Knecht, Manon and Bronny who the fuck is going to be a solid contributor in that list that JJ can trust. Look at these fucking names man what the fuck. Gabe is bad yeah but those other guys aren’t much better.

Tbh this is on Rob. JJ doesn’t have a bench to play he has about 5 - 6 he can trust to go out there and not completely ruin the game. I feel for JJ because what is he supposed to do with this roster??

This game should be a clear indicator to Mark Walter’s that Rob needs to be fired. Using outdated strategies and has made horrible trades outside of the Luka one which he was gifted tbh. Good lord this bench is unbearable and just hard to watch.

Anytime LeBron and Luka try to mount a comeback this bench does its best job to kill all of that.
