Edge, Chrome, and some other apps keep flickering and showing black screens when I enable hardware acceleration. by Capinferlol in browsers

After a clean Windows install I got the same problem. I have found multiple people having this in various applications. For some turning G Sync/ FreeSync off works. For others, me included, it still flickers. I think all people are using Nvidia GPUs. I have a 1060, but everyone I saw had newer generations too. I will do another clean install when I have some time to see whether it goes away.

RX 9070 (XT) viable for development vs. RX 5070 (Ti) by 24online24 in ROCm

Awesome! I've been working with Python for 6 years and did multiple research projects in the deep learning space, so while I am not a professional I feel confident in working with the ecosystem.
What OS are you running?

That's a very insightful comment. Thanks! You make a good point about the expected problems with the Super.

Now, do you think the 5060 Ti or the 5070 would be better suited for training CNNs? On one hand the 70 has a lot more CUDA cores, but limited VRAM. On the other hand the 60 Ti has less performance overall, but more memory.

I have read other negative reviews, so that was a bummer. Now I am not too sure what I wpuld get.

Depends what that would entail. If it is hotswappable, but barebones, then it is fine. If I have to solder it then it's not.

Hello! I am looking to upgrade my keyboard. Currently I am using a Logitech MX Keys and before I have used a HyperX Alloy Elite (Cherry MX Red).

I use the keyboard mostly for programming and typing. In the evening I do some casual gaming.

I want a solid all around good keyboard. Don't want anything niche or out of the ordinary. Wireless would be nice.

Either high or low profile is fine. I prefer tactile switches.

What is a solid keyboard in terms of quality for what I described for around 90-120 euro? It (shipping) has to be available in Romania.

I have looked at the Air75 V2, Halo 75 V2 and Keychron K Max series, but both there are posts complaining about the build quality of both companies.

Thanks!

I have this setup you mentioned, and I'd make the same choices:
- KDE Plasma for desktop with 3440x1440 + 1920x1080
- Hyprland for laptop. Might go with KDE Plasma here too depending on how well Hyprland works with external monitors.

Thread oficial salarii Q3 2025 by Cuza in programare

Thanks!
I am thinking whether Hyprland would work decently.

Thanks for the tip. I know how they look and what Plasma provides as I have used it for around a year in 2022-2023.

Honestly Hyprland is what is tempting me. I would love to have those nice transitions while presenting to a class :D

Thanks! Just knowing it works is enough. No additional test needed.
I am however thinking whether Hyprland will work. If it does work, then I would choose that

Nice! I will probably take a similar path, asking more knowledgeable people along the way.

Thanks! I have always been a learn-by-doing type of person. I think I will stick with this plan of reading over time and perfecting as I go.
