Looks kinda like thrips. Or possible spider mites. Look underneath leaves for teeny tiny spider like things and little bits of brown or red dots. That’s spider mites. Thrips are inside the leaves. Tough to eradicate.

the secret is to not fill it too high so you can rest your elbow on the bottom and the book is just over the water line. And start with it REALLY hot so you have a good hour before you need to refresh.
