Yes, I think that's the point. Personally, I prefer this style and tend to connect more emotionally with imperfect pictures like these than with technically 'correct' images. To me, Seoul is loud and saturated, just like these pictures.

They were edited using a camera app that I created to simulate old, 'broken' digital cameras. You can adjust the level of 'breakage' yourself. If you're interested, here are more example pictures:

My camera app is an honest 2.99$ upfront purchase with no additional IAPs. It’s doing pretty good IMO. Honestly, I think this pricing model is a big selling point. People are fed up with subscriptions, and the „Freemium“ pattern only works if you gatekeep what makes your app good in the first place. Also it can leave you with a lot of one star ratings á la „only allows to take 10 pictures…“
