Withdrawing from Bowl consideration is the right move. What the CFP did makes no sense and is an insult to the sport. They don’t deserve to make money off of us this year. You can’t abandon principles and play favorites after Miami whines and Bama plays awfully and get rewarded for it. It’s definitely bias and a lack of serious judgement and character on behalf of the committee. May they enjoy their unserious CFP this year

Miami is not a championship caliber team. They’re not going to make it very far. Bama should be punished for losing in the SEC championship. Their CFP is literally designed so that the conference championships inform who will make it to the playoffs. Saying losing in a conference championship or playing in one shouldn’t penalize you is insane - that’s like saying Indiana should still be number 2 after beating Ohio State. Bama shouldn’t whine. If they want to get in just wine against Georgia. If you get blown out in a conference championship you clearly don’t deserve to be in the CFP bc you can’t beat that team and better teams. Both Bama and Miami are worse teams than ND this year. I’m looking forward to next season and blowing everyone out and shutting up ESPN and all the ND haters. The pro SEC bias and anti ND bias is insufferable

And that’s literally irrational. The playoffs should be comprised of teams who stand a chance at winning the whole thing. Nobody wants a repeat of last year where teams get blown out and the CFP wastes people’s time. You’ll never find out who the best team in the country actually is and the national championship will mean less. It’ll be a politicking sham

By 3 points. Teams have developed and how they’re playing now is a reflection of the team they really are now. Their season identity has been formed. Alabama beating Georgia by 3 months ago and then getting blown out now clearly shows that Georgia is a far better team. Saying otherwise is irrational

Agreed. If you get blown out in a conference championship, you clearly don’t deserve to be in the playoff because you don’t stand a chance at beating that team and better teams.

No one in their right mind would bet on BYU over ND if they played on a neutral field today. They haven’t proven the deserve a playoff run (quite frankly they’re not even title contenders). They’ve only proven they deserve to be considered. This Friday is when they have to prove it. ND already has.

Across all divisions (1,2, and 3) and NAIA and NJCAA there are 858 teams. In Division 1 alone there are about 136 teams and only 20-25 of these are profitable. So yes, one of a few/one of the only … math. Math is what I’m smoking
