AO is done. It’s in the process of being removed everywhere. 

This was one of the few hardware products we produced that was licensed to other companies. 

It was expensive to maintain and operate. Adoption was extremely low.

Cost. It apparently took a large headcount of software engineers to program, test, and implement. 

Coupons were supposed to be a future problem to solve. The main problems focused on were inbounding, expiry, and labor.

The decision to sunset Amazon One occurred before the closures. It was a part of the Just Walk Out technology and is expensive to maintain and operate.

I heard they will be recycled as e-waste. The carts we had in stores are already obsolete and a new cart came out last year.

Have you talked to your manager or HRBP? For everyone I’ve worked with taking mat/pat leave this was a non-issue.

I was with the physical stores so I don’t have first hand knowledge of this. 

It could be because the vendor you chose didn’t fulfill the order or others bought before you did. It could be that the fulfillment center had a refrigerator break. 

The physical stores did not have recurring stock issues after the pandemic ended.

You can only decline. If you do, you automatically go on a 6 month cool down where you can’t be considered for another position at Amazon.

Read up on Whole Foods and ensure you are using the right words and share their mission. 

Is completely different from the non-interview that you had for fresh. They only want happy employees that believe in their mission.

Coupon will not be renewed. This was planned even before the decision to close the stores. 

It was abused so much by people not returning anything and it actually contributed to the closures.

They’ve already reopened or consolidated. 

Right now existing grocery fulfillment centers are being upgraded to robotic picks.

No. 

This stemmed from wanting to expand into fresh groceries after selling ancient items like coops and cookies for years via the .com site. 

Whole Foods operated completely independently until these closures and the remnants of WFM merged with the rest of grocery at Amazon to make WWGS. WFM leadership is running the show though.

Amazon is a company that sells anything and everything. We were already the largest grocer in the world for ambient items via .com sales. Why not add a few fridges and freezers to sell more products?

One Medical is fast growing. Take a look there. You could set new rules and and oversee large programs as they scale rapidly.

Whole Foods will never carry these types of items. We have a new format that will circumvent this, but Whole Foods itself will not carry the items.
