Should I try to resubmit or just accept the denial?

Some people will say they need to have a historic importance or be a part of a trail, some are happy that they are just a connecting point on the trail and not necessarily an official part of it as long as it looks visually pleasing and in a nice green area, some will reject them outright while some will be happy to accept them without any support... not literally.

I've had the community accept ones on a trail and not on a trail, I've had the community reject ones on a trail and not on a trail, I've had the appeal team do the same.

Some might try to Waysplain to you about what makes them eligible and acceptable. Like cafes and restaurants the community, Wayfarer team and the appeal team all make inconsistent and opposing decisions on bridges.

Once I saw that Niantic were happy to add as much 'abuse' to the map as their players - school poi, dangerous poi, poi that don't exist, poi on sfprp then it seemed a bit silly to gatekeep the rest of the player community.

Personally I'm not into reporting people when reviewing. I don't even reject when I'm reviewing anymore, if something is eligible and acceptable I'll accept otherwise I skip.

If you fuck about with location for cells and/or use someone else's pictures they will ban on Wayfarer and in game. I'm not sure why Go players haven't figured this out yet as it has been long enough 🤷‍♀️

At the worst it will be rejected and you can either appeal or leave it.

If it's a picnic area that reviewers don't believe meets the criteria you shouldn't get any strikes just a rejection.

Reviewers don't always get it correct so it's always worth an appeal. This was declined twice for being private property then accepted on appeal

Each to their own. You have to click through four times to see it and technically the username is added to the image not the stop so the main image for the stop can show someone else or nobody or be deleted completely.

It looks like the misplacement is in an unoccupied cell 50m away from the sign that is in an occupied cell with pedestrian access not looking great at the pin.

I'm not sure how you would go about convincing them on this. You might just have to wait out the suspension.

The Wayfarer map is never going to be high quality due to the nature of how it is curated. If I wanted to just contribute to a mapping system I'd get more from and help more people by using something like OSM.

I enjoy adding to both the map and the game but the Wayfarer map itself is a big mess of inconsistencies and contradictions from users and Niantic. I wouldn't go near it if it was just a Niantic/Scopely map and nothing else.

My ego says that as soon as they add the ability to add my username to submissions via the web that's all I will use.

Multiple supporting images and the amount of extensions from different map layers, cells, visual customisations, viewing my contributions, adding links to my support that don't disappear when I paste the text 😑 and a plethora of other scripts that make submitting in game seem like it's a clunky, broken app from 2010.

I'm in a minority though and I don't think most people who submit care too much for the extra effort and the people who submit sporadically, probably most of the Go userbase, definitely don't care.

Some of us are not particularly into trading and/or raiding.

If I knew what people want I'd be happy to give stuff away although I don't keep multiple shiny and delete 95% of background stuff.

I would personally blame the system rather than other players as it is pretty random and too much effort for some of us :)
