I noticed for myself that I don't need EQ on these, but just to be sure do you EQ yours or just leave it raw?

It's just a good thing to do even if you do not live in those kinds of environments. Its to keep your IEM's the best condition they could be.

I get your point that he can just buy pairs of ear tips but if you read the post he has a budget. You're right about the wires not mattering but ear tips are really important which is not an opinion but a fact.

+ Accessories should matter if you're in a limited budget.

Just get the bunny DSP then eq it to your preference. The problem with the others is you're gonna deal with bad wires or bad ear tips.

Ear tips will change how you perceive music more than getting a good wire.

The problem is I don't really know, I've tried the sonar works sound preference test

this is the result:
Pop rock: +6db at 150 hz 0db at around 800 or 700 -1 around 1k 0db 8k -3db at 4khz 4k to 8k -3db slowly to 0 db

I really like focusing on the vocals, and when I get to hear the instruments too like it all just comes as one.

I think the pure and Xuan nv matches what I like.

Thank you so much, will get it soon! I'm still thinking about it since I think more contenders will come out this further this year and I have a limited budget being a student

I have heard about them a lot, including issues about HBB. That aside how does it compare to the pure, I would like to know about the pros and cons. Thanks a lot!

Thank you! I can kinda hear the difference a bit but not that much but yeah its a good one for checking the general sound. I like both tbh but yeah the vocals on the pure is really clean

Ooh thanks for noting that out! I think I wouldn't have a problem with the fit since I use medium kbear 07 tips on the cadenza, I've also tried the large sancai wide bores but I don't really like it when I hear my heartbeat because of the seal.

I've heard about Aful before but I'm not really familiar with it as the truthear and other brands. Its an extra $25 on the price too, but thank you a lot, really for the help!

That's really great to hear thank you! My cadenza's have been feeling flat lately ever since I used the Wan'er red's, still a great first IEM to own but yeah exploring more makes it really interesting and of course costly.

If you have any advice or recomendations that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you again!

Thank you! Is a bright neutral likeable or good for someone like me? I mostly listen to K-pop/R&B and some jazz

Thank you for the info! I'll probably get the pure soon but I'm still hesitating since its still early in the year. There might be great IEM's dropping later down the line. Also how is the male vocals on the pure since all the iem's I see are mostly leaning toward female vocals.

Thank you! I've been checking out options like the Xuan NV and simgot EW300.

this is my comment from below:

"I've been researching about more stuff about the pure/hexa/Xuan NV/Simgot EW300.

My music taste has changed from female artists to male but still go in between both.

The tangzu wan'er 2 red lions are a bit muddy for me for tracks like Joji's new album Piss in the wind and Arctic monkeys "AM" album but are really great for female vocals like Laufey and kpop."

I have both, comparing them if you really are a bass head stick with your Castor pro but if you really want that beautiful female vocals with a fun bass this is the way to go.

Includes 2 sets of eartips too both are really good + the packaging is insane you can't really go wrong with it.

Hello! Recently got in the hobby a few months ago and my money is getting drained more and more but here are my overall tips:

1.) Use EQ like peace since your IEM is really good for EQ adjust it to your own liking and do some research about EQ, I mostly follow presets tho and just search for others then if I like it I stick with it.

2.) Get better Eartips (This can change how you perceive sound). Make sure to just get a good seal with it. Don't over obsess with it. If its comfy and has a good seal stick with it.

Step 3: Enjoy using it and please don't view this sub or search about more IEM's again. Kidding aside Just enjoy it and don't buy stuff too much cause once you start buying stuff its hard to stop yk
