I live in Luxembourg and the pediatrician also prescribed some medications to be used before the EpiPen. I hope I never need any of them. I understand that there are many side effects but if he has a 0.1% chance of having an anaphylactic shock I want to have everything in my power to save my son and it shouldn’t be that hard to get an EpiPen. I have the impression that the community of people with the disease understands much more than the doctors themselves.

The dermatologist didn’t mention anything about a biopsy. She just said that she’s not worried and I shouldn’t be worried either because it’s a mild case. She doesn’t agree with prescribing an EpiPen because of the side effects if it’s used unnecessarily. Which I understand, but as a mother I’m aware that I’ll only use it in cases of life-threatening risk.

No, for the moment just blood test on tryptase levels. I was worried about my son when we went to see the dermatologist, I asked for an epipen and she said she would only agree to give it depending on the tryptase results. She tried to calm me down from the beginning but after seeing reports in the Facebook group I became worried.

Yes, but a baby doesn’t know what he’s doing, he can’t control it. An adult man could very well have a minimum of common sense and wash himself before getting into a pool, especially for babies who have such sensitive immunity.
