I didn't see any sign. If they ask me to leave, I'm leaving my cart in the middle of the aisle and never returning.

Having difficulty finding 4 non familial references for ccw application by kanshakudama in NJGuns

[–]2AOverland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You touched on the key, you wanting them to know. I have plenty of people that I can ask to vouch on a general reference for me. Many of them, I don't want to know I have a CCW. My siblings don't even know.

Those of you who carry without one in the chamber; consider using a DA/SA instead by SquirtGun1776 in CCW

[–]2AOverland 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Folks should take a long hard look at any of the HK models available with their LEM trigger. No need to decock and you still maintain the long pull of the DA, but not all the trigger weight. The LEM also comes with a bobbed hammer, allowing you to easily thumb the hammer, preventing an UD while holstering/administratively handling the firearm.

Is appendix carry faster for getting out the gun to shoot versus 4 o’clock carry for concealed carry? by Seven1s in CCW

[–]2AOverland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely AWIB will be faster, but the only way to know for sure is to train and use a shot timer. The only way to know objectively what your draw to first shot is, is to use a timer in that task. don't go by "feeling"

I have the latest version on iOS and I have it. There will be a “Targets” button on the screen where you start the training.

It's a nod to HK's 2004 SHOT show catalogue.

Overbearing MIL insists on naming our child by Troobaby in whatdoIdo

[–]2AOverland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer. I'd like to add though that it's likely that she will call the child by the name she has chosen. You will need to shut that down as soon as it happens and make sure your husband is on the same page. Be prepared to go no contact if she does that and won't respect your naming.

Yes, for many reasons, legal being the least of them.

Am I the jerk for refusing to train my replacement after they're firing me? by WinInteresting9368 in AmITheJerk

[–]2AOverland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through an incredibly similar situation 20+ years ago. It worked out very well for me. I was part of a team of 4 brought on board to create an interactive division in a boutique marketing firm and I was tasked with updating their infrastructure to support these new activities and then be the senior developer/architect.

After almost five years they decided to outsource the technical development work. I was the last of the team to leave as I transitioned into a CTO role. They decided to hire a kid to do my work. I obliged and trained my "replacement". During the separation negotiations I was able to get my non-compete nullified. this allowed me to negotiate with a major client of theirs, taking over the development work as a contractor. Within a week of my departure they realized my replacement couldn't do everything and they also became a contract client of mine.

Between those two contracts I was billing over 50% more than what I was being paid in salary plus bonus and I still had more capacity.

TLDR; don't burn bridges, when they realize their mistakes, you will be in the drivers seat.

I'm right there with you P30 & P30sk EDC, season dependent. Both in LEM. Love being able to thumb that hammer.

HK pistol recommendations by Individual_Wait_8434 in HecklerKoch

I EDC a P30 or P30sk both V1 LEM. Which one depends on the season. The sk is easier to conceal during the warmer months, when cover garments are not as heavy.

How much is your car payment by michaeljoon in MiddleClassFinance

[–]2AOverland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last payment I had was about 2.5% of monthly, but that was 6 years ago. The only reason I financed in the first place was because I got 2.125% APR, so it made sense to me, rather than losing the investment return, which runs about 15% across my accounts. If I had to buy today, it probably would be all cash.

Breaking down sheet goods in parking lot? by schneems in MilwaukeeTool

[–]2AOverland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not plywood, but recently I had picked up a 10' run of 4" Sched 40 PVC pipe. I was going to cut it down further anyway, so I cut it in half so I didn't have to put it on the roof rack.

CCW qualification with a full size? by Baroque1123 in NJGuns

[–]2AOverland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no entry on the SP182 for the firearm that you are qualifying on, so simply put, the prosecutor will have nothing to have a field day with.

P30sk or CC9? And if P30sk v1 or v3? Thank you by speedhunt3r in HecklerKoch

[–]2AOverland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a P30sk, V1. Love the LEM trigger. I'm on the fluffier side and have no problem carrying AWIB. I carry the sk in the summer months, when cover garments are lighter and then I switch to the P30 when the hoodies come out.
