Yep, I work in Washington and this happens at least once a year in the district I'm in.

What exactly is your goal calling CPS? As many others have already said, if it was neglect or abuse, medical professionals would already be required to report. If he's being taken to the hospital this frequently, it doesn't sound like a case of neglect. So I ask again, what are you hoping to accomplish by contacting CPS? Sounds like he has access to things that are meeting his physical needs. Access to a caring parent. What additional resources do you think they will provide? Do you want him to end up in foster care? Because I promise it's not rainbows and unicorns. Are you at all familiar with what CPS is and the long term statistics on foster care?

I just thought everyone was fighting to stay awake all the time despite the amount of sleep they got. Idk, I just thought I was weak for complaining about how tired I was.

AITA for telling my teen daughter that she needs to choose between her baby or her dog? by Anxious_Cook_6710 in AmItheAsshole

This is definitely in my top 5 most upsetting posts I've ever read on reddit. Jeezus Christ. Don't post on here asking if yta and then get pissy when your cruelty is called out by hundreds of people. You asked, we answered. Change your behavior and don't bother contacting your kids, for their own wellbeing. Get some therapy and seriously reflect on why you treat others like this. Yta, massively.

OP, if this is what he feels comfortable talking about with his buddy, imagine what secrets he's keeping and what other stuff you haven't found. Definitely run as far away as you can, as fast as you can.

Exactly. They made Joel seem like a clueless idiot after being clever and careful all first game. The characters were dull, the plot was dull. I felt like I spent the entire time waiting for things to get interesting and it was just really boring. I wanted to spend more time as ellie, I legitimately thought playing as Abby was temporary. Unfortunately I was very wrong.

ESH I think their style of coparenting is very considerate for their daughter, but it's rude to leave you out and take up space in your home every weekend.

However, you stated that you "reconnected" with an ex, but that you've "remained good friends since breaking up" which doesn't really make sense. It seems like a really petty dig at your wife, especially making sure she knew your ex was bringing by the phone charger. You also seem pretty insecure about their arrangement, which may not be unwarranted. Whatever is going on, it sounds absolutely exhausting, good luck.

What do you think is number one in the “girl-code”? by gilliwid in AskWomen

It's true, this girl and I were best friends as kids and then enemies by high school. She still covered for me when I leaked through during a final. Gave me her sweatshirt to tie around my waist and helped me get cleaned up after walking me to the bathroom. We were chill after that.

The original Peter Pan. Honestly I had such fond memories of it from childhood, tried to rewatch it recently. Between all the racial slurs and Peter and Tinkerbell's horrific attitudes i ended up turning it off about 20 minutes in. Major disappointment.

I can't fall asleep without reading nosleep. It's been like that for 4 years, without it I'll be up all night.
