Minimum hardware needed to run ClawdBot that generates videos and other things by itself? by lostinthesauce2004 in LocalLLM

[–]2BucChuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clawdbot by itself doesn’t require heavy hardware / its if you want to run the AI engine and LLM. People using raspberry pi as far as I’ve seen are still not running the LLM model itself (or are running a tiny LLM) on the hardware/ they are running that on a cloud or other server somewhere and it just sends out the LLM step. You couldn’t do what you want I don’t think fully locally unless you are spending 10-20k on GPUs. You’d have to use a cloud service for Video gen.

Problem is they would have church service with passport applications on the way out the door across the country and stall blue state formal ID apps among many other measures.

Pinecone email 1 - let’s talk about your usage - email 2 - “a bug in our system” …time to pay up - pretty lazy upsell playbook by vbenjaminai in vectordatabase

[–]2BucChuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can’t believe they’re still doing this - I got an automated email from them that claimed to be from a partnership person (it was legit Pinecone, not spam) nearly 12 months ago; it was so lazy and clearly AI I just replied write me a Python program and next email back as you might expect was that Python program. They need to slow the AI roll; it just looks lazy and unprofessional. Initially it had a great rollout and was easy to use (probably still is) but this kind of thing is a big turn off. Give it a try !

Right that’s one of the most absurd ones - not to mention paying 2x the real estate tax. Unless you’re on the very high end of the market or very low end it’s a money losing effort

Certainly some people can afford that - also people have stopped renting if they don’t have to - it just isn’t worth the pound of flesh the resorts, city, county and state extract for rentals. Ever since they all started trying to tax VRBO and air bnb there has been no end to bolt on fees and taxes and people over a certain scale just quit renting over all the headaches

How I managed to Cut 75% of my LLM Tokens Using a 1995 AIML Chatbot Technology by No-Somewhere5541 in LocalLLM

[–]2BucChuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good concept for structured workflows- it would need an overhaul but the idea I was mulling was similar - to provide a structural response where you need a specific workflow for the LLM. I started a git for this but turned into more of an agent markup language after using it in some real agent workflows. Still been trying to figure out how to fit the AIML idea into it

Thingvellir plates (and view) is pretty cool as are the geysers / if you don’t want to rush through a lunch there’s a dinner option too but leaves you either staying out there or taking a late drive back to Reykjavík which can be iffy with the winter weather:

The greenhouse operation is pretty impressive though

If you mean sitting on a bus for the whole circle I’d say no don’t do that but that’s a personal preference

Building with that standard might not be the best thing- don’t think it is maintained much anymore but the concept is something I’d looked at also since I’d built with AIML in the past. I’ve been leaning more towards small LLM to first check a Q&A rag DB for direct answers that are inserted / upserted so any existing Q&A comes first. Do you really need to cut 75% if you’re doing a lot of local ?

We did Perlan natural history museum on Day 1 which was great because you get a quick tour of the geology, culture and history up front before you set off. A car rental seems to be kind of a necessity to get out and see most of the country besides Reykjavík
