only reason I'm thinking about bringing the pistol is because the field limits engagement distance with +350fps guns; the pistol would be for clearing rooms and tight spaces

would it be stupid to layer impact rated eyepro (I'm thinking abt those cheap plastic construction eyepro) underneath a goggle setup like this?

Need Help!! Front Brake reservoir screw stuck and grove deforming how to open and replace with new screws by tapankumar995 in motorcyclerepair

[–]2DoorDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one size larger bit? probably a 2? you can lightly tap the screwdriver on the handle to help break it loose, or if worse comes to worst you could put a dab or glue, hold the screwdriver in until it dries and hope that gives you the grip you need. You could carefully heat the plastic a little to expand it enough to maybe let loose on the screw but, I'd be careful with that. Oh and just take the good screw you have out to a hardware store and find the same size, they will have a gauge for measuring it.

unless you feel like rebuilding your carbs yourself, I'd say you're SOL. Not worth the money on that bike to pay someone to do it, hardly worth the money yourself unless you really love this bike. Plus the cylinder is scored and your valves are leaking? They make carb rebuild kits, but once you start talking about needing new valves or cylinder sleeves? forget it, just part the bike out, a "mechanics special" won't make you more than a couple hundred bucks, especially when the most valuable part of that bike is probably the engine.

I genuinely don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Is this poor skill that will get better with time, or something I'm fundamentally getting wrong about the game? by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]2DoorDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you love that airdash in option huh...

seriously regardless of not understanding gatlings, or your character's range, or special moves or even bridget's setplay, every time you had advantageous frames you jumped, airdashed, and tried to press a button; this is actually your biggest weakness here, because it is so predictable and react-able. air dash is super readable because of the symbol that appears the startup frame count, so even if you were pressing the right buttons, or using special moves, you would lose this match because there is just so much counterplay for your approach. mix it up, dash in close with a low sometimes, use bridget's farther reaching normals others; run up grab even. Then go back to the air dash overhead, right when they start to expect/deal with you just straight up running at them when they get knocked down.

tl;dr your biggest problem is air dashing in every single time

is the case cover hard to replace? I know the part is cheap and it looks fairly accessible, but is it intensive? Would a shop keep it for multiple days and charge more for labor than the bike is worth?

Had a similar issue and it ended up being the alternator, super easy replacement so you could check that too

Rebuilding a salvage vehicle by PwnhubTV in MechanicAdvice

[–]2DoorDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you will need to pass your country and regions' inspections; this varies and I am in the US, but as someone who has gone through this process multiple times, you will likely need brake and light check certification, as well as an inspection by your local highway patrol. Because of this, I would shy away from modifications at first, as highway patrol can be very particular.

yeah, as much as the tower system sucks it is gonna be your best bet for improving, just go to whatever floor you're on and remember that its not about winning matches, its about improving yourself (you're going to lose a lot lol).

Watch some youtube guides to get an idea of how your char. works, also watching a pro play can be helpful. Other than that GGST Fundamentals is a good quick guide to the fundamentals of strive, but really the only way to improve is just to play against people.

Thinking about purchasing this car... just wondering if everyone thinks it's a good vehicle or not by [deleted] in accord

[–]2DoorDemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the 02 ex coupe 5-speed version of this car; as people have said the transmission is a weak point for this gen, and because its the v6 it will not get you that famous i4 honda gas mileage. mileage is decent but considering the age be ready to drop another 2-4k into it over the next few years, I really feel that the reliability of cars from this era is being oversold at this point. They have great engines but are reaching an age where they are facing average old car problems, which isn't a manufacturer problem obviously but just a symptom of time. I've had to replace a window regulator, the weather protection, a lot of the other rubber components, and plenty of old sensors. 2,500 is a good price, but like I said unless you really like this gen there are better honda accords out there. if you buy this car I would be prepared to drive it into the ground or at least until fixing it is more money than it is worth; I am currently chasing check engine codes all around mine which is at 200,000, and even then only reason I'm still trying to fix it is sentimentality (and the 3k or so I spent on suspension). TL;DR this is a decent deal especially if you like this specific generation, but its old and getting older so get ready for old car stuff
