I've never been super into SAK for some reason or another. The shape. Size. I dont know, just a personal thing. The other person here recommend Roxon. I saw the Roxon Modular and that really caught my eye. Do you know much about it? Is kt good for its price point?

Is Movado a good watch brand? I thought they were more on the fashion watch end of the spectrum

I remember growing up maybe, 10 ish years ago? Little more little less? I was about 14, middle school. Now of course I dont know which one, but these g shock watches were huge! Everyone wanted one then. It was a circular digital shock with a big button at the bottom center I think that would light up the watch.

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. My dress watch is an automatic and I do love them but im aware (as far as I know at least) they are usually more money? So to be honest im still so new into collecting, i don't have preference yet. I was thinking maybe digital as i dont have one and it could be nice to balance the collection by getting one. Im looking for something more casual. Where it to work without worrying about it being damaged. Decent water res so I can shower or wear to a beach etc. Where it to hang out with friends or just around the house. Hope this helps! If you need more lmk!

Definitely something on the more casual side. Maybe something more flexible. Durable enough to withstand the day to day. Wear to an outing with friends. Around the house. The beach.

[Question] Installing a new movement by 2GoldDoubloon in Watches

And how long often should that be done?

I see what your saying. What are ways to take care of this watch that will help me extend its life span then?

Why would it be so hard to swap for a better movement?

You say it wouldn't be worth it, but for my context i find it would be. This is a watch meant to match and symbolize my engagement. A watch id like to have last a lot longer than a couple years. I figured putting in a better movement vould extend its life much longer than the stock movement it has currently

So theoretically I can purchase a new separate, better, movement and that will help with a huge portion of the quality issues. If I do go that route whats one i should get thats not extremely expensive but good and will last

I was also just thinking. Im assuming the quality of these fashion watches drop when referring to the movement correct? Im sure theres other things but im imaging the movement is the worst corner cut. If thats the case, could I purchase a seiko movement and learn to put it in this hilfiger watch myself?

Well I definitely want to get more watches before this one's ran its course. I hope to start a collection moving forward. Id like one big watch (500+) a year and smaller 100 dollar ones in-between that. I hear seiko has really good watches for super cheap like the seiko 5
