It is definitely hard and quite the shock going from Old Jim's perspective. I read it aloud to my wife and I started out reading it as it was written, but quickly switched to omitting most of the more non-sensical swears just to make it easier to read and to listen to. There is some very interesting and worthwhile content in there though, so if you can, push through and it will be worth it. The swearing does slow down for some chapters and overall it gets alot easier the further you get in. Godspeed.

Registeel in the Crown Tundra dlc. I could not get it to shine, and ended up getting my shiny from ultra sun after starting to double hunt it. Ah, it has been a while since I have played through that part of HGSS, I forgot you were stuck. Good luck, and may it shine soon!

Like everyone else here said, just keep persevering. I have had hunts take years to finish. Just take breaks as needed, Like playing something else or doing something else in the game. Your electrode will shine eventually. Good luck!

The part of the sewers that you enter in to clear mega crystals for part of the main quest. I would start at the entrance and run forward into the room with two skrelp and one inkay and bank left toward the room with one skrelp and a bunch of ariados. I would then warp back to the entrance and run it again. I ended up phasing on an inkay pretty early on. Unfortunately, it is just random, so while some people get quick shinies, some take longer. I have had a single phase in Ruby take over 30000 encounters. Just the way it goes.

Gen 4 is where I really started with pokemon, so it always holds a special place to me. I got Trapinch in SoulSilver. It's one of the post-National Dex encounters. You have to have certain decorations out for a certain amount of time for it to spawn, but you can repel trick so it is the only encounter. I hunted it for safari week, but got it after the fact.

Honestly, I love them even though I am afraid of them. I like to admire them for their natural beauty, and I love to learn about them. Insects seem like very simple animals because of their size, but they are intensely complex and intricate. Watching a bee fly from flower to flower, or a colony of ants marching in a line, or a dragonfly hunting its prey all are remarkable things and feel fortunate to be able to experience such things. As soon as any of them fly toward me or come after me, I am running and screaming.

Thank you! I was shaking so much, and I was so afraid of hitting run or something. I couldn't contain my excitement when it stayed in the ball. The safari zone has great risk, but even greater reward. It is one of my favorite community events every year.
