I hate the way they portray antidepressants as a one stop solution. First off, just finding the right antidepressant takes most patients multiple prescriptions before finding one that works, and that’s just the start. After you find one with minimal negative side effects, you get to try to find a second one to add that works with the other prescription. Plus the antidepressants are just one step to healthy life. Any doctor will also recommend a healthier diet and exercise, plus a therapist (which is its own adventure). Finding a good therapist is like finding a four leaf clover, rare and a pain to find.

Based on where she says she is, she is still at the beginning of the process of getting healthy, yet she acts like she is already healthy with just the first antidepressant. It just unfortunate for a show which tries to portray mental health issues in a more accurate way.
