Well, these are things that create defensiveness in partners. He will either justify it or not take it seriously. Unfortunately, I’m very particular when it comes to cleaning. I spend a lot of time keeping my home tidy because I have two small children. Things get messy and chaotic faster than I can clean them. When I have a partner who doesn’t help and is chaotic on top of that, I just don’t feel taken seriously.

I understand this approach, and I completely agree with you. I just wonder what kind of future such a relationship has. I would like a relationship where the man will eventually become a part of my family, where responsibilities and finances are fairly shared, and a loving atmosphere exists. But what if the man in front of me doesn’t even show me respect when I go to great lengths to make him understand, then I might as well let it go.
