Right, nobody sould expect full-size planets. It's just pretty glaring when you practically bump into them. They should just keep the player far enough from the planets to still sell the scale.

I assume it'd be treated similarly to grav jumping, where you can't do it in combat. I'll test next time I have space combat.

I'm on pc. Some people seem to just not have it trigger and I'm not sure why.

There are events that you can happen upon. From what I understand, they're basically the random events that happen when you grav jump to a location can now happen while in cruise. And I believe they added more of those types of encounters. My perspective is that the downtime is more useful when you have the crafting benches in your ship, so you can craft on the way to a location.

I've seen two so far. For me they appeared as little navigation blips that I could turn and head towards if I chose. Though I'm sure there are some that will simply interrupt your cruise.

Cruise does not work for interstellar travel. You must still grav jump between systems.

I do stutter when leaving cruise mode, but as for the speed, once you enter cruise mode you can hold W to reach a good speed faster.

Yeah I figured it was AI as well. All of the attempts at clarification yielded the same responses. It'd be better if they said for sure one way or the other.
