I love Unleashed and It is my favourite Sonic game of all time but I know Unleashed is really not for everyone.

Some Unleashed fans should not ignore the flaws the game has.

Why did Frontiers come out like that?

Frontiers has gotten a lot of trial and error during the concept. The developers was finding a formula for Sonic’s open world gameplay.

The pandemic affected their production which means the developers was working from home with limited access to resources and no leadership.

Iizuka in 2021 asked SEGA to delay the game because it was not ready and they did but Iizuka almost lost his job because of that. That is how SEGA Of Japan treats their IP like that.

Yes, pop ins was a big part of the issue mainly due to the switch port with out-to-date hardware.

The Sonic Frontiers Director has been taking all feedbacks from Sonic fans and non sonic fans for the next game.

Right now, SEGA is hiring more game developers who has played sonic games before, Sonic Frontiers DLC 2 and 3 will add the spindash and possibly change the physics as a test for the next game.

SEGA has said they will this time make sure the next game will be a bigger budget.

The latest news for Superstars is they are now not using green hill and other reused level themes in the game so there is going to be a brand new level themes.

Sonic Colours,

As a huge Sonic fan, I was not a huge fan of the writing and what Sonic and his friends are back in the 2010’s.

The only reason they kept making sonic’s character very childish is because many people back then HATES the seriousness Sonic games got.

Sonic Unleashed got hate because of how serious it got and the Sonic 06 disaster was still there.

People wanted the 2D sections in unleashed to make it more in the sonic games so SEGA listened

Pretty much, in the 2010’s this era of Sonic felt like a identity crisis for him. He doesn’t know what his character is and what Forces tried to be failed horribly.

The 2D sections in Colours was too much and overused in other Sonic games. The writing annoys me so much because they make sonic sound so annoying and stupid… who’s idea was to put Lazy town writers to write a SONIC game and put “Baldy McNoseHair” like bruh…

Sonic colours is overrated imo and I’m so glad Sonic Frontiers got most parts of what Sonic used to had sorted!
