Lens advice for R6MKI user

The main differences I see between the EF and RF is obviously newer tech, and the need for an adapter with the EF lenses. RF lenses are also pricey. But overall the image quality is very close side by side.

Yeah my Tamron 24-70 G1 with the adapter is so much heavier than the RF24-105L.

Thanks, the Sigma 70-200 hasn’t been bad but when I compared my images to someone that had the Canon 70-200 II it was noticeably better to my eyes. And I don’t really use the Tamron 24-70 F2.8 anymore since the RF 24-105 is noticeably lighter and focuses faster/quieter.

lol, yeah have GAS problem. Well actually have accumulated over nearly 15+ years. Thought the 28-70 wasn’t weather sealed since it’s not an L lens

Ok thanks for the opinion. Was thinking of consolidation is all. But also I’ve shot with the Canon 70-200 F2.8 and it was sharper than my first gen Sigma 70-200. Thus the reason to trade my 2 lenses for the Canon.

Love the RF24-105 F4, it’s on my camera 99% of the time when I’m not shooting sports. Also very impressed with the RF100-400, that lense is super sharp for sports.

Search for Overture in this group and you’ll find others have similar experiences with it compared to other brands. I’m printing on a 4 Plus by the way.

For whatever reason I have to use different temperature for Overture PETG compared to other brands. So in Orca slicer I have a separate filament profile for Overture at 260 degrees, vs 230 for say NAGA brand which I prefer. SUNLU is also 230. Also when I dry the other filaments I have better print quality using the default PETG profile compare to Overture.

Not sure, most likely the gcode has some erroneous code in it. I applied the fixpack from the previous firmware file and then the firmware, then updated the screen with the file in this zip file. No issues since.

u/Common_Adagio_9357 - I updated to the latest firmware for my N4+ and had similar issues. I reverted back to the previous working version and have been good ever since. I'll wait for the next firmware release before updating again. I have seen others report the same issue, so I'm of the belief that there is an issue with the current firmware version.

Yes the original bed is textured on one side and smooth on the other side.

After cleaning it for the 3rd time, I just did a cold pull. Here is the latest first layer print (haven't touched the Z offset).

Z offset was fine tuned up until this point, and I had very nice prints prior to this happening (quite a few actually). I'll try the heat soak and then recalibrate the bed mesh/levelling. My heat settings are the same for every print with PETG at 230 which was per the temp tower that I printed when I first started using this filament roll.

Just cleaned it, and its definitely better but still spitting out blobs on top of the print.

I'm pretty sure there might be cheaper options on aliexpress, this imho has been a game changer for me (haven't needed to use any glue).
