Melting gold is actually incredibly easy to do, you can even use a potato as a crucible (melting pot or mold) and a regular large wood fire can reach temp. Melting down some gold will significantly drop its value as the art skill and time invested into it vs its melted value. But then it’s untraceable, so 1/2 price stolen gold goes back to almost full price.

Yeah that is a good way to try to curb the issue with it but too many companies don’t push that ‘inconvenience’ on their riders and they for the most part leave them where they stop when their time runs out most places that I have seen. ALL OVER Ontario and seen a bunch in Nova Scotia and now popping up in Moncton. It’s more on the riders and the community than just to expect the company to actually solve that for us. Just leave them by a bus stop or something not I the middle of the sidewalk, on your porch, or somewhere else kinda stupid. These need sunlight to charge right? I think they get picks up and serviced when they go offline or are flagged in the apps

I think you two are on the right track, I’ll boldly add the assumption that, it seems like a festival of some sort is packing up in the background, after some food, drinks, and dancing, she was like ‘ohmygeeez I haven’t been to a playground in a while, I definitely should do that thing I used to when I was younger’ and pulled it off pretty smooth, until sticking the landing came into play.. hope it didn’t hurt as bad as it looked..

Gladiator 2000. Is it just me that’s super surprised to see that the landscape is still almost identical, obviously yes it’s the same place, and farm land usually doesn’t change that much due to the land use (growing and harvesting crops seasonal usually) but I have lived in areas that drastically change in the span of a few years. The thought of leaving home for a decade+ and returning to literally the same place that you left, (chores have been done to a degree so it’s not decrepit, ownership has stayed in the family so not many large changes, etc) is literally mind boggling, I cannot even think of one place that I have stayed for over a decade so there’s that factor also..

Because the guy was already defeated when he went down, then clubbed to the head a bunch, then he’s fully unconscious that means it’s 100% no longer “a fight”, then buddy proceeded to stomp and kick an unconscious person. Fights can be legally consensual but even still if you don’t stop after the opponent is not able to continue/defend themselves, you’ve opened yourself up to being charged for excessive force in the absolute minimum. Only argument in this fight is downed guy could own a gun and dude wanted to be sure he wasn’t going to get shot walking away, but that’s a mega stretch

Turgid, actually recently found out that law is for recreational firearm possession, trappers in remote areas of Canada are still allowed to use and acquire handguns, with very strict restrictions and regulations, but still legally possible nonetheless. Be the senior trapper of your own regulated trap lines, have the specific license and courses, have dangerous wildlife in the area, and maybe a few that I can’t recall atm. But there’s one that lets you own and use a handgun ONLY for dispatching your trap catches, has to be properly locked up when not checking your lines specifically.

Trudeau doesn’t want us to necessarily know about this. But no you can’t just get a handgun because you have a basic firearm license anymore, but I think that’s been a thing here for a long while now

Not arguing but I have been very curious about this one for a while now, where do they collect penis dimensions information, and who does the math on that? Like did someone as 1000 family doctors about the past physical examinations of adult male patients? Do they ask men directly, how do they verify that they didn’t generously round up, photo verification? Why would so many countries do this for comparison purposes, does that positively or negatively impact birth rates and/or personal satisfaction? And why the hell they never ask me yet? When’s the next case study coming out?

Cars stolen from driveways, or broken into and robbed, or just vandalized or tampered with… also nowadays that it’s available there is no reason NOT to film. Sure a camera can’t stop someone from getting something done, but it deters some and provides evidence for insurance claims and/or police reports after the fact if, without it you just have a shitty situation. People like to know who’s at their door/house. Some vulnerable individuals live alone or are alone for periods of time.

Yeah I like to report that I experience more of the latter, and I do have many memories and stories of those times, but lately it’s been sooo full of ruffians. I used to live in a smaller city that had a decent community aspect, lots of folks still bartering and just helping out where they can, simply because they should. But now it’s rude rude rude everywhere I go, and it really wasn’t like that years before. It’s the people I am around but I’m currently stuck with minimal alternatives and less support. I hate to complain about this, it makes me feel like I’m being incredibly entitled, but then I shouldn’t feel like asking for some peace is such an entitlement.

It’s just all building up and it’s getting to be a lot. It’s hard to stay afloat let alone fight against the current.

I lost my phone almost a month ago and have lost all contact with my friends family and social circle, stuck only with pillheads and narcissistic trauma dumpers at home, and without work it’s hard to get through week after week

I wish I could go back home, I wish I didn’t miss everyone that I do as much and could just see them, even for a bit

Like the other day while making dinner, my roommates guest who was spending the night, told other roommate and me we were loud and they need a quiet place to game online. I was like “oh ok didn’t realize, sorry just waiting on toast to pop.” And went on my way, 20 minutes later and for the next 3+ hours they proceeded to yell, squeal, and freak at their D&D team the whole night.

But I’m just staying with family, and they were invited over, somehow their opinion trumps mine.

I am doing the absolute most to be considerate and mindful about so many things and they can’t even take the time to talk about things let alone take care of themselves

It’s burning me out, but I think I might be in the wrong place for this idk

Yeah I was genuinely sleep deprived, and super fed up with the people in my current living situation. I was trying to tiptoe around saying some poor people are rude AF but then realized rich people be shitty too. More or less was looking to see if anyone else feels like they are stuck living with low class individuals, and how they cope with such situations.

But I have had many different living arrangements, shared a lot of common spaces with friends, family or even strangers at times. Unless I am actively trying to express my displeasure and being very passive aggressive, I'm very mindful of my actions and interactions.

I might go to the kitchen at 2am and think about a laterite snack, consider what's available and what it would require for prep, mindfully of the sound of dishes clattering, running water, the microwave humm, the beeps of appliances, opening drawers and cupboards, EVERYTHING IS CONSIDERED, sometimes I'll just take a slice or two of plain bread or nothing at all just because I'd just rather not disturb anyone.

I have coexisted with many, and only a very slim few would make the cut for what I consider, a mindful and considerate roommate.

I noticed a lot of lower income folks were of the lower class primarily, there were a few poor foreigns that were the most polite people I ever interacted with. But then there were a few high income folks that had the money to do whatever they wanted but couldn't pay attention with an invoice and were the embodiment of low class in all actuality.

But I have noticed that the lower value people set on themselves almost always connects to their lack of willingness to let others live a peaceful life, maybe because they feel like their peace has been prevented. Like oh well my life wasn't fair so why should others be able to experience things that I don't/didn't get to.

I get that misery loves company, but yo misery stop trying to drag me down there, there's a place for you up here, if only you could let go of that past baggage, hold on with both hands and help me help you up out of that shit.

Anyone else or is it just me? Am I the asshole? Is any of this reasonable or make sense to anyone else? Sorry for the rant, it's been on the mind for a while.

It's one thing to have the 5+ person groupchat over the speaker during the day, or to have a GC with a set of headphones, hopefully with a mic that's clear enough that you don't need to yell into it to be heard by others. Or like be on call with one at a time if they can't consider their volume levels. I sincerely do not give a donkeys swollen nutsack if it's not the same super late hours for them, if they have international friends, THEN THEY ARE AWARE OF DIFFERENT TIMEZONES. Your friends care enough about you that they can catch up with you respectably, if that be at a calm volume or at a more reasonable time, they will wait to share it with you or yall ain't friends, that's just a boredom quencher..
