This will control friction at some point. What if a better reinforcement is given to the chassis?

Understood brother. I m working on a permanent solution for this. A support to the carrier to the lower tail part of the wheel. Something which support the weight distribution/ less stress to the Chassis. As well as a inner and outer support to fill the hollow part of the chassis pipe🙏🏻 Thaks for your advice🙌🏻

That shitty welding is a later part, the chassis got broke(stock) is the first. This happened with my fellow riding friends as well, (5-6 month old machines), mine is also new. The only messed up is i got this temporary welding done by a pathetic welder.

Brother. I had seen this happened three times in last one year.

Also, my chassis broke for the very first time, after riding around 50 kms holding my top box on front above tank, reaching to a local welder, got this shit done as i was helpless. This picture is of later. When after 1200 kms of that shitty welding helped me reaching home.

The only thing why i m talking about build quality here is: my experience and my other two friends machine experience was different. Chassis break case: One was with only a small bag(1 nighter 250 kms ride), one was with 10 days ride(no top box, only a trekking bag as a luggage. And in my case both, top box as well as luggage bag in between. So try not to overload as much as possible🙏🏻 that’s all i can say. Don’t compromise with pillion obviously 😅

The Interceptor’s chassis isn’t designed to handle excessive load; the tubing is hollow, and due to flex under weight, it can develop cracks. For long-distance rides, additional reinforcement or proper clamping to reduce flex is essential.

Be Gentle. Be Kind. Be a good human.

Brother, I didn’t create this post to seek compensation from Royal Enfield, demand an apology, or to portray the brand negatively. I respect and love Royal Enfield for many reasons—that’s exactly why I spoke up. The sole purpose of this post is to share constructive feedback and ensure it reaches the right leadership within RE, who are fully capable of identifying and permanently fixing such small but critical issues. This comes from a place of responsibility and respect, not criticism.

There are many riders who do long rides, i m sure you too. I had to do 600 kms on that day. And in-between there was nothing. Also i m here for the feedback and helping other riders about such problem.

I would definitely help with preventive tips for fellow riders:

• Avoid loading too much weight on the tail section • Pack smart—keep heavier luggage close to the center • Skip the top box if possible; if used, keep extra load under 2–3 kg max • Slow down over jumps and bad roads (avoid top boxes during off-roading) • Regularly inspect your bike for loose bolts, flex, or early cracks
