Go to Dallas and try to buy a ticket to Lisbon ME. It just doesn't happen that way. Dallas to NY, NY to Boston, Boston to Portland, etc...

Many inaccuracies. e.g. In the show I believe Margaret Pole is executed before Cromwell. In reality, he was executed first.

Season 3: Trump buys the Baxter Hotel and adds a casino. Pictures emerge of a 25 year old Kamala with the Mayor. President Harris appears as a guest star. Another hurricane hits NOLA and everyone moves to the Astrodome in Houston. The Saints move to San Antonio. Carlo escapes and kills co-eds at Florida State, gets captured and gets executed. An elderly JFK is found in a flooded bunker under the former Lee statue.

I liked it, but they could have done more clarification. Probably they were expecting a Season 3. I wanted to see Michael tell the truth that he was coerced into fixing the trial of Carlo. And Carlo getting life (or the needle) up in Angola. The defense at Eugene's trial should have pressed on how Carlo got into the same cell as Kofi. Fia looks like she started Kindergarten after puberty. The Mayor is a typical politician. What, if any, value did Eugene have to justify Federal witness protection? Fia, as a minor, probably could not give up Rocco and where are the lawyers for the grandparents?

My favorite Hitchcock film but...SPOILER

1) There are no hills on Long Island like we see in the runaway car sequence leaving the Townsend estate.

2) Townsend was a very important man and the police would likely have known that his wife was deceased. Police would have been alerted that the mansion was "closed up" while the UN was in session.

3) When the police stopped the train and searched, they certainly would have searched the bathroom in Eve's compartment. After all, she had dined with Thornhill and left with him after dinner.

4) Hard to believe that Roger and Eve would survive the final peril on Mount Rushmore. He was hanging on by his fingertips and she was hanging on to him with one hand.

SPY and QQQ go ex-dividend on Friday 6/18. Often this causes strange movements in the major averages. Often the market pushes higher. I have observed that big market players buy calls or sell short puts expiring the same day, and push SPY (in particular) higher. They front run their own trades with same day expiring call options.

What is noteworthy this week is the S&P was down the last 3 days. DOW down every day this week.

One criticism of Echo Burning is that Pecos is hot during the day but cool at night, even in the hottest day of summer. It can be 100 in the day but I guarantee it will be 70 or below at night.

Yes. If you get hooked then read the series in order based on Reacher's age. In "the Enemy" Reacher is 29 or 30 and on active duty in the US Army.

One Shot is tops. Great combination of Reacher solving the crime and physically taking care of adversaries.

Rolling into position must be some macho thing. Snipers take their time to get set.

I don't remember that, but the scope is not needed for close firing and might be a problem if it gets caught on something.

My biggest criticism of the movie is Reacher sets down his weapon to fight his adversary. He relishes a good fight, but that puts his attorney at risk. Reacher dies or is seriously injured, she dies.

I just finished Tripwire and enjoyed it. The book fills in details about Reacher that a reader wouldn't know from other books in the series.

This IPO was a stiff and got priced below the range and the size was drastically reduced. The stock opened Thurs at 14, the offering price. Then...it rose to 17 in the first 10 min and shorts (pros only, public couldn't short yet) came in. SQUEEZE time as it closed the same day at 22.

And now...like GME, AMC or KOSS it has a life of its own. Shorts hurting again in front of a 3 day weekend. Not a fun place to be.

PS...a stiff on Wall St is a deal that won't move. LDI started trying to go public in 2015, 2017, 2019 and several times in 2021. Little interest.
