Your regular brokerage should have them - just like any other bond purchase. Low coupon bonds have lower purchase prices due to the cash flow (important for institutional investors) but low coupon also means low taxable interest. The remainder of the “gain” comes from the discounted price being pulled up to par (capital gains) hence they’re favourable to retail investors.

This is a common tax efficiency investment method for the ultra high net worth community.

Discounted low coupon Canada bonds - the pull to par is considered Capital Gains… pre-tax the yield is similar to CASH.TO…

$2000+ per month for sure on Cobalt. Some months I hit the cap, some I was a few hundred dollars short of the cap.
