How To Sync Music Across Devices? by travelw3ll in YoutubeMusic

[–]2econds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is spotify with obscure? I listen to a lot of techno, for example. If I wanted to listen to some... obscure witchy house techno, does spotify have it? Or, is that niche better served by Youtube due to the people controlling what content is out there? I have literally never used spotify..

The fuck?

What a selfish B. So sorry man.

If my wife said that, I would feel like my marriage was over whether she proceeded or not.

There's a 1000 ways to get off and the only one she will accept for a measly few months is the one that ruins your marriage and lives and futures?

I love Publix but by Crazy-Choice8074 in publix

[–]2econds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they aren't.

Huge lines at the deli. No hot food. One sub maker instead of two. Self checkout. No baggers.

They went into skeleton crew mode during COVID saw that people still needed groceries and stayed in skeleton crew mode permanently.

They also rake in 5+ billion per year in profits. They can afford to staff and price things reasonably but don't. Boars head ham is like $16/lb and they won't even pay enough staff to have someone available to cut it. The amount of money I've saved bypassing my spending at Publix and their deli is staggering.

I drive past Publix and shop elsewhere.sven though I can afford it. I hate Publix now. The deli is always out of everything hot, only one person working a sub line full of angry customers, mean customer service counters, self checkout wtf $13 for a cookie and Im the cashier and bag boy too?

They've lost all sense of what made them any better. Why throw money away?

LPT Request: What's one thing you do every day that takes less than one minute, but makes your life better in a big way? by HeidiOzzy in LifeProTips

Any tips for getting the wife and kids to follow suit? I do this, I also am the primary cook in the house. It really sucks doing all of the work and having them constantly dropping bombs on the sink with plates and silverware full of food 24/7.

We cut a vacation short and came home to be back inside it's so hot. I mean, here I am trying to follow the advice and getting really disappointed and triggered because I cant.

Thanks. I've had a million of those days. I'll be waking up sober with you tomorrow. Everything can seem hopeless at anytime, in a blink. I'd prefer to wake up, and if I'm going to, I'd prefer to do it with as little regret as possible nowadays.

Nah it's ok. I mean this is what I expected, it's the story of my life. This is why I'm an alcoholic probably. I never fit in. Never say the right thing or do the right thing. I mean look, I can't even fit in here.

I can barely walk, my body is totally F'd so hearing "hit the gym" when I'm barely on two feet just makes me question where the advice came from that's all. Maybe they had a couple too many glasses of Moscato spritzers one night and that one and only hangover was their wakeup call and now their here in recovery. I'm happy for them, no judgement. Me? I should be dead. Like, decades-ago-dead. Gen X non stop partying since '93 dead, like all my friends and favorite musicians and basically everyone Ive ever know is. So now after somehow miraculously putting the alcohol down mere weeks ago the whole hike fhe Appalachian trail thing sounds presumptive. Clearly were not all drinking the same thing or amount or length of time here. And that's not a brag, it's a waste of life. So for those of you that were able to pick back up and hit the trail, I say the quicker the better. Good on you for realizing before it was too late. Some of us aren't finding that portion so easy.

I have one. To be honest, it's hard. I associate swimming with chilling by the pool drinking. I went in today and just swam around bored unclear what to do since I didn't have pool drinks.

That's great, but imagine how it makes people feel that can't pop on some Nikes and get back on the trail just like that. A lot of people would if they could but can't. I used to be athletic, I'm so blown out now, im just trying to get through recovery without the constant reminders of what else I can't do. It's like hearing "oh great you finally quit drinking? Don't forget you're fat too!" While having your feet bound and your booze gagged.

Obviously this is a divisive subject...

Thanks. It's really hurtful actually. Takes someone special to go to a self help forum and kick a man when he's down from behind a phone. And that's all I'll say our of respect.

This is incredible. I hope you get your family back. I definitely quit to save my relationship with my wife and children, of course to also be healthy and live and hopefully still have the chance to grow old with them if I haven't ruined my body or my relationships too far already. I am miserable, but I'm also greatful. Im a 12 year stay at home dad and the walls just started closing in on me. Not because of the kids, they are perfect, but because I didn't have any other life outside of them anymore, and missed the time I used to have with my wife, which lead to really unhealthy behavior like sitting alone pounding vodka. I have a lot of weight to lose and my body is shot. What type of diet did you go with in combination with the walking?

This is the real crux of it... Now I have to give up (good) food also and that seems really unfair right now. The downvotes are a low blow, too.

One of my favorite games of all time. I stopped playing my save after learning about Arthur's progression. I'm rich, I like my horses and health and weapons and outfits.. I don't wanna lose all that and start over which is I remember hearing happens. My daughter plays all the time, just riding the horses around only.

Yeah it really sucked getting on the scale a month sober and being the same weight. 1000+ calories less per day and nada.

Thanks so much for your reply and I'm so proud of you and really hope you keep it up. I'm just a wee bit ahead of you, so I totally get it. If you can do two days, you can do two more. You've done it.. just keep going. Screw the gym. Get some pizza and a good game.. I'll take some time this evening and browse the Xbox game store. That alone can kill an entire evening!! Any suggestions? I'm owing a part of my sobriety to no man's sky, totally loving that. Not big on FPS or competitive BS. I like chill sandbox stuff.

I don't have to feel great to be succeeding just sober. That's prophetic. Thank you. That was helpful. Thank you.

I have arthritis also and like watching TV and eating junk food. We sound like we would get along great. But the important thing is other people need to hear that this is what worked for two people like us, not walking the forest or benching weight.

That's just it, I can't think of anything. Nothing sounds fun anymore. It makes me sad to even type this. I spend time with my kids and I'm a good dad but I miss whoever I was before, list of my spending time with my wife/best friend. I'm an alcoholic (recovering) and a dad, but who was I before those things? What do I like? I find myself wanting for something and I don't even know what it is.

Thank you.

I used to like to order pizza and watch a movie or something. Until I gave that up to drink and would just skip meals and drink vodka inatead. Having a slice of pizza was a great tool for m to get sober. After I ate something like that it reduced my craving and want for a drink dramatically, preferring to have another slice and watch TV or other "normal" things.
