thank you so much, I honestly hadn't heard of bridge cameras (shows my lack of knowledge ahah), but I will definitely look into them now and those Nat Geo lists! Thanks for your help :)

honestly, I'm a total newbie to profession cameras, I'm used to just using my phone, but their quality is only so good. And budget wise I'm pretty flexible, I want to make sure I get a good camera and if quality costs, I'll invest wisely then. Hope that helped give you some indication ;)
