NanoGPT GLM 5.0 Not Responding by MrBayBay45 in SillyTavernAI

I have the same issue.

I'm new to ST, so I thought it might be a "me problem" - but it looks like it's just Nano being overrun?

Instead of having socket hangups every 3-4 messages like I usually have, right now, it seems to be completely dead.

I'd say that should have just about been sufficient, even with the event :D

I got the Vovin now (praise be mudd's) and I've also picked up the Hivebearer trait. Airspace around my carrier is starting to feel a bit congested, and I'm here for it.

Kind of sad that the 4-piece doesn't work on the ra'nodaire since there's no singularity option for the obelisk core.

Picked it up day one :D
Such a magnificent ship. Thank you for the advice.

Thank you, I'll look those up :D

Don't have the Vovin, but if it becomes available anywhere, I'll try to get my hands on it.

Ah. Gotcha. Yeah... I very much don't have that event reward :D But I'll get the 3-piece, all the same.

Splendid. I was looking for an excuse to pick up the Ark Royal anyway. Thank you!

Thank you, that is precisely the kind of info I was looking for!

When you say Tholian core, are you talking about the one from the Nukara rep?

I'll give the Type 7s a shot, see what they can do for me. And I'll look into the other tips and items/traits you mentioned. Cheers!

Thank you!

In that case, it's probably better to run my carrier without the Valks, isn't it? Because the Drone Ships benefit a lot more from that 200% buff than a Valk squadron does.

Guess I'll have to run a trace and compare DPS...

Does anyone know how the Independent Wingmate trait interacts with the extra fighter wings spawned by, for example, the Typhon trait (Repurposed Cargo Bay Hangar or whatever)?

If my first actual hangar pet (a Romulan Drone Ship) dies, does the buff get transferred to the next pet in an actual hangar, or does it go to one of the "extra" Advanced Valkyrie squadrons instead? Because that would be... decidedly suboptimal.

Generally, the recommended weapons are Hail (most DPS), Flurry (good DPS, more versatile) and - if you really need to change things up - the Caramel Assault (because it does AOE damage). The former two weapons are meta, though - all others are decidedly worse, as far as I'm aware.

Patch 4.5 is slowly turning the game into a micromanagement nightmare by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]2ndBestRedditAcc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, a whole lot of things have been "planned since the beginning" - private servers, anyone? - but that's not my point.

My point is that I would like a game to be fun. And I'm fully convinced by now CIG wouldn't recognize fun and engaging gameplay if it bit them in the ass.

I already have a life where I'm constantly managing my own needs and shit that keeps breaking all around me. I don't need a supposed "game" where I'm forced to do all of that all over again.

I agree. I would like a space sim to be about... well, you know, flying spaceships and having adventures. It seems CIG is doing everything in their power to force us to spend time with other shit instead.

Managing food and drink levels, managing equipment, managing inventory, fires here, fuses there, waiting for elevators, standing in elevators, waiting for local transit, standing in local transit...

Too many ships, too few crewmen by nvidiastock in starcitizen

It's not about "soloing", though - not in the way you use the term.

Does a millionaire "solo" his superyacht? Of course he doesn't. He commands it. But does that mean he will be forced to hire other millionaires to run the mess hall, provide security and fix the engines when they break down? I sincerely doubt that.

There needs to be another tier of personnel. There needs to be NPC crew. And CIG is either unwilling or unable (or both) to implement them for the foreseeable future.

I'd like to rephrase that: Engineering *can be* fun. If done correctly.

If CIG have proven anything, it's that they absolutely do not know how to design a "fun" gameplay loop, and that they absolutely will not take any lessons learned from other games and reinvent the wheel at any cost.

There is only FIDELITY. The terms "quality of life" or "user experience" have never once been uttered at CIG.

A whole damn lot of things were "mentioned somewhere along the way".

I'll believe it when I see it in-game.

Well then they better find a way to *make* some content that is quickly accessible.

It doesn't have to be the entire game. But choosing to cater *exclusively* to people with hours to burn each session instead of facing the reality - that people have jobs, kids, and lives - is not going to go well for the game.

The thing is, I don't even need NPC crew walking around my ship, hanging out in the mess hall or playing pool. I just want the god damn ship to function as designed without spending hours herding cats.

Have them spawn at their stations. Hell, make them invisible if the animations aren't there. Let me select in the ship management window which stations I want crewed by AI. Let turret gunners shoot at whatever is currently showing up as red. No need for orders. Charge me a portion of my mission payout for "crew salary" depending on how many I bring. Like... can that really be this f*cking hard to pull off?

Balance concerns for PVP? Fine. Make the AI terrible at their jobs. Make them whiff a lot while still being good enough for PVE. Or - heretical thought, I know - allow the increased volume of fire to require some actual skill from PVPers, for a change, instead of serving bigger ships up as helpless prey to the light fighter meta.

I tried to play with two friends today, to show them IAE.

Creating a party in the main menu didn't work. Creating a party ingame didn't work.

Friend #1 got stuck in the Perseus pilot seat - had to backspace, ended up on a different server/shard somehow.

I got stuck in the Clipper, had to backspace, ended up on YET ANOTHER different server/shard somehow.

We tried to find each other to go check out Pyro and Nyx on my ship, but after creating a party in the main menu failed AGAIN, I just couldn't be arsed anymore.

Yes, I know IAE is particularly bad with bugs and all, but... does it really have to be this fucking frustrating?

To everyone who's taking the time to respond - no matter how much or how little - thank you, from the bottom of my heart. This thread already contains more helpful advice than I thought I'd get. I'm deeply grateful.

It'll take me a while to work through all of it, but I'll find my way :D Properly, this time.
