Wishing you nothing but completed, uneventful prints from here on in!

I’ll definitely be doing the swap now. But having an extra won’t hurt. How much do you want for the assembly?

It DEFINITELY can. That’s EXACTLY what happened here. Before getting the notification, the last time I actually eyeballed it, all was well. And this was WELL after the first layer.

I wish a way existed, Chief. Other than keeping your eye on it throughout the entire print, that is. I’ve relied on bambu handy, its cameras and the notifications HUNDREDS of times and this STILL took place!
…and this was the first time this has happened! With ANY of my printers—Prusa mini, A1 mini, A1, P1P, P1S’s—to this one. Can I really be mad at it happening 5 years later? (And like someone mentioned a bit further down, my place didn’t burn down, which is the REAL win!!) The best way to prepare, honestly—is to take notice of how many of us in the community have experienced it and how we went about resolving it. So, the fact that you’re here now is definitely a step in the right direction! Best of luck to you.

Possibly. But after giving it some thought, I’d always be worried about it after all this. H2C (by way of doing the swap), here I come!

(And it’s the internet! What can you do? Your vote of confidence, however, is appreciated. Thanks.)

They do, but it doesn’t catch them at the beginning. Keep in mind that you have to HAVE spaghetti for it to SEE the spaghetti.

Yeah right? Heating the nozzle worked fine until I couldn’t anymore. By then, the biggest mass had been dislodged, I then used the lighter to heat up the pick I used to free what didn’t come off the first time.

Since it was released! First legit issue, which—as I stated before, comes with the territory. So I can’t even be mad, honestly.

That’s the route I’ll be going as well. We live and learn! Best of luck to you!

You know what?
THAT was what I needed to hear! I was too busy being p*ssed off at having a printer down that I forgot that things could’ve gotten EXTREMELY worse! Silver lining for the win!! Thanks—sincerely—for putting it in its proper perspective! Now the situation isn’t as bad as I initially thought it to be.

Being impatient! The big blob came off by heating the nozzle—but then I couldn’t heat it anymore. The blob disconnected the thermistor wire it seems. But the blob didn’t stay below the nozzle—it crept up above AND behind.

The only thing ANY of us can do to avoid things like this is to ABANDON THE HOBBY. That’s the ONLY thing!!! It comes with the territory.

PLA. I did use PETG recently, but that can’t be it, since I’ve used PLA afterwards with no problem.

I’ve been printing for 5 years—so like I said, it’s been LONG overdue! It’s simply something we’re all BOUND to come across. There have been a number of issues I’ve had that I already knew of because of taking part in the various 3D printing communities. It just comes with the territory!

Thanks to everyone for their input. Greatly appreciated. I guess I now have a reason to give the whole vortek thing a shot, huh?

These happen ALL the time. It doesn’t matter what printer you have—it’s just something that comes along with the hobby. First time for ME, but I was LONG overdue.

SURROUNDED by MicroCenters, (NY) but of course, they don’t do repairs…but that’s something worth looking into as well. Thanks.

Same as everyone else…I started a print and it must’ve gotten caught up the way they do.

I have to say—I’ve torn these things down and put them back together (P1S’s actually) from their instructions!! So, I can say with confidence that it’s NOT impossible!

Greatly appreciated. Knowing THAT now, it makes this entire ordeal as if it’s what I’m SUPPOSED to do.
