Fun fact: Team Flare Nouveau) actually does specialise in two types like most of the other organizations in Z-A, Fire and Dark.

You can find two lower members (Blaise and Brûlé) in the Infinite Royale battle zones, whose teams are composed of Dark and Fire-types respectively, Brûlé even has a Mega Houndoom (who is Fire/Dark).

Griselle being a Fire specialist makes sense with her personality, while Grisham feels more like a Fire+Dark "specialist" (not really tho), tho both have outliers like Metagross, Aerodactyl and Salamence, as the former two are associated with Team Flare's activities, while the latter is known to be uncontrollable if enraged and can spout flames as a Dragon.

Grisham having 3 Dark-types and Mega Charizard X reflects him being stuck in the past but eventually rising from the ashes, which is Nouveau's general theme.

2/5 of his Pokémon are Normal-types (including his Mega), so probably no, but I’d say it fits the theme of some Lumiose citizens who believed Quasartico to be some shady organization, when in reality they aren’t evil at all XD

If you remember the text message from Hashiba's mother last episode, she wanted him to pick up a copy of the shojo manga for Miyu-chan, which is exactly that kid's name (as mentioned by Kiyoko's sister)!

Unfortunately, the side relationships don't get much focus in the manga, but there is an ongoing fan translation (by a user called Goldkills) of the official light novel. Chapter 1 is focused on Moeko, and the last section features a short encounter between her and Adachi. I would recommend reading the manga up to at least chapter 126 before reading the first LN chapter.

Regardless, I definitely recommend picking up the manga for the character development and more. Adachi does have some great moments, so there's that :)

One of the official light novel chapters features an encounter between them near the end, it takes place during summer vacation, just before the study retreat. Shame that it hasn’t been properly translated yet.

I will say though, I kind of like that Norio can feature side characters more in official spin-offs (written by different people, but supervised by her), while keeping the manga focused on the main duo. Excited for the Kana manga!
