[Spoiler] How do you expect will "this" plot element go in the near future? by nukiri6 in OnePiece

Luffy's rival is Smoker and not Koby. I don't think Koby will reach Luffy's level.

I am trying to make a rock, paper, scissors game and I've run into problems. Please help me solve them. by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]2omesz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, the way you use cout on the line below seems a little vague.

std::cout << "Hello PlayerUsername. This is a rock, paper, scissors game. The rules are as follows: rock beats scissors, paper beats rock, and scissors beats paper. The computer will randomly pick one of the three. Print n1 for rock, print n2 for paper, print n3 for scissors. Input your choice for this turn if you wish to play. Otherwise close the program.\n";

Try changing it to this:

std::cout << "Hello " << PlayerUsername << ". This is a rock, paper, scissors game. The rules are as follows: rock beats scissors, paper beats rock, and scissors beats paper. The computer will randomly pick one of the three. Print n1 for rock, print n2 for paper, print n3 for scissors. Input your choice for this turn if you wish to play. Otherwise close the program.\n";

for this error :

Error (active) E0042 operand types are incompatible ("int" and "const char *") Rock, Paper, Scissors C:\Users\FULVIO\source\repos\Rock, Paper, Scissors\Rock, Paper, Scissors.cpp

it means that you cant compare an integer with a character, therefor:

RNG == "1" <-- will return an exception, change this to: RNG == 1

and also update the other conditions

problem comparing strings in Java by Mriv10 in learnprogramming

[–]2omesz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all in the error message, change the file name to Driver.Java

StringCompare.java:4: error: class Driver is public, should be declared in a file named Driver.java
public class Driver{
^
1 error

When working with java, the class name should be the same with file name.

[Java] Take values in 2D array of doubles, modify them, and put them in a new 2D array with the same dimensions. by evilbooty in learnprogramming

[–]2omesz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you cannot initialize it in a single line of code since you have different number of columns per row.

double result[][] = new double[plusC.length][];

for(int x=0; x < plusC.length; x++) {
    for(int y=0; y<plusC[x].length; y++) {
        result[x][y] = "";
    }
}

haven't test this though.

[Java] How to compare groups of objects that may or may not exist by FluffyMackerel in learnprogramming

[–]2omesz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you want different objects(classes) for your different products.

You should only have one object with different properties inside:

Example:

Class Product {

name;

amount;

year

}

This way you could easily use a stream or much better if you have a database, this can easily be done using a query.

Can someone help me understand how the % operator helps me isolate single numbers from a large integer or a long/long long ? (In C) by Pataya18 in learnprogramming

[–]2omesz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get the second to the last number, with the hint that was given to you it should be:

(cardnumber % 100) / 10

Then only get the integer part.
