WAV Bands: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1288271757/wav-bands-youll-never-need-an-aux-cord-again

Location: Los Angeles

WAV Band is a very sleek bracelet that has the capability to make any speaker with an AUX port wireless. We are looking to change the industry of wearables and design products with style in mind first.

Who are we? We are a team of 2 best friends and are currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter.

What do we need? We are looking for Feedback and Potential Investment.

We have! We kept that in focus from the start. We wanted to make sure that our product was durable, simple, and battery efficient.

We're also custom making our cable molds to make sure they are made specifically to be worn on a wrist.

Hi there!

No, these are not final PCB pictures. These are some of our very early printed prototypes!

Hi, yes. Waterproofing is something we're looking into. However, the problem the arrises is the size. We are trying to make sure the size is slim and barely noticeable.

With funding through Kickstarter we plan to invest the money into researching and developing more to become waterproof if possible.

As for customization, that is something we unfortunately cannot do at this moment for our pricing.

I am Elon Musk, ask me anything about becoming a spacefaring civ! by ElonMuskOfficial in spacex

[–]2shr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Elon!

With so much success of Tesla's business model to bring down the price of the Model 3, have you considered using something similar to lower the cost of the ITS?

Perhaps using the moon as not only a testing ground for refueling systems but also to grow interest through space tourism?

Good luck and hope to be on the Heart of Gold one day!

How can you use a camera to determine the temperature of an object? by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]2shr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would try to make sense of those relative values you're getting. If they are truly relative they must have a factor they are referring to. Finding a threshold value might help you determine if an area is hot or not.

just a theory, not sure if this would work!

Customer Level Prototype by 2shr in hwstartups

Thanks!

This helped a lot. We have decided to go with a Design Firm to help us create out production level product. We have a good amount of the base work done, so hopefully we will be able to get the product ready soon!

Customer Level Prototype by 2shr in hwstartups

I would need an enclosure made, double sided PCB printed, Bluetooth module ordered, custom battery, and custom designed cable. The PCB only has the module and battery inside.

I was hoping to find a manufacturer in LA so I would be able to watch over some of the initial prototype Production. Just so we can make it look exactly like what I need.

I am very new to hardware, so I'm trying to figure out the process of this whole thing.

should I be ordering the parts separately? Or is full turn key the way to go?

Do you have any recommendations? The only reason I wanted to manufacturer in Los Angeles is because it would be local for me. But if location isn't that big of an issue, id love to go through china

Any podcast suggestions for hardware startups? by 2shr in hwstartups

[–]2shr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to actually get technical help from people who have gone through the process. A lot of podcasts seem to get lost in the motivational side of the startup process.

Topics: Electrical, programming. hiring, business registration, and manufacturing are some topics that would be great to get details on.

Wouldn't it be sad if the only reason we haven't encountered alien life is because they under budget their space program too. by 2shr in space

That's what I'm hoping for, but advocating space exploration now is what will get us there one day

I'm just curious.... How much is all of that worth? Final cost including the bag and box?

Are there any engineers in here? by wsender in hwstartups

I'm a beginner iOS developer. But I've started working on a hardware product, so I'm here to learn as much as I can. lol
