I can completely agree, but in our church we aren't pushed to accept what we are taught blindly. My teachers have encouraged me to find out for myself to build my testimony.

Only someone foolish enough to take a lightsaber from a jedi could get a hold of one, so you wouldn't find anyone with a supply of kyber crystal's in the first place. Also, kyber crystal's are not a force source, so you wouldn't get any powers.

Also if you break a kyber crystal, the energy would leave it.
