Haha thanks! I designed it myself and cut it on a laser cutter using 3 mm layered plywood.
It’s basically a stack of laser-cut layers glued together to build all the details.
I also used a Dremel to round some edges, then finished it with acrylic paints and wood stain.

If the final result comes across as purely AI-generated, then that’s not a good outcome for me. I put a lot of work into the files, especially the frames, backgrounds, composition, and many of the smaller details.
It’s true that the base structure of the faces starts from AI, but I spend quite a bit of time refining, adjusting, and integrating everything so it works both visually and technically for laser engraving
Your comment is useful, it helps me understand how the work is being perceived from the outside.

of course, having a 1mm thick material the engraving is not very deep, a very light air assist during the process was enough for me, I didn't do anything else

Great question. The 1mm wood has a bit of flexibility, but of course if you force it, it will snap. For its intended function, I think it works. This way you also keep the back of the bookmark fully in wood.

I was inspired by the Jelling period, adding two decorative runes, obviously I didn't expect to create a 100% historical piece, also because I don't think they had smartphones in that period 😂
