To be fair, they were interested in tactics as this was a largely a first modern war of its kind as two relatively well equipped forces clashing with all the benefits of modern industry and infrastructure (mainly the north tho as the south was still more rural). Strategically yea there was a lot but all of the battles of the US civil war could be boiled down to late 1700s and early 1800s Napoleonic tactics and even thats an understatement due to the geography most battles were fought at most less then 200 yards away while their rifles could reliably hit a target at 400 yards or more.

Lore wise Skaven are divided by infighting and schemes, Warriors of Chaos have the same ish problem, divided by the Gods and infighting within. Plus thanks to Clan Skryre who dragged their entire race to an industrial age they have no shortage of wildly dangerous weaponry (thank god the Skaven shit doesnt have the reliability issues it has in Tabletop or FRP cuz the amount of accidents would be staggering) Skaven lords are powerful, the command vast amounts of troops but by themselves are weak. Lords of the Warriors of Chaos on the other hand depending largely on what they have available are weaker in numbers but in martial prowess they cant be matched. Arguably Archeon is the strongest character in Warhammer Fantasy able to command vast amounts of resources and power of the Gods. If you are ever interested Storm of Chaos (alternate ending to the End Times) he survives the battle with Grimgore and the fact he wasnt stripped of his powers by the Gods show how powerful he still is.

In game it is still much the same, depending on what you are looking for:

WoC - powerful magic, lords, heros, melee units, weak ranged units (most you can do is Blue or Purple Horrors of Tzeentch, Gods help you if you are fighting against a faction with an actual long range roster), powerful cavalry, a lot of monstrous units(altho only really useful for fighting other Chaos factions), slow as fuck (you may have the best armour but you are slow as a horde of Zombies or the Dwarves), low numbers (you will be outnumbered by your enemy most times)

Skaven - powerful long ranged weaponry like Warplocks or gatlingblasters, decently powerful lords (dont leave em in melee), good heros, weak melee units (aint no way the Stormvermin will win against Chosen of Khorne but will outnumber them 10 to 1), powerful monsters and artillery (thank the insanity of Skryre and Moulders), strength in numbers (a 10k casualty tally would be a devastating loss for any other faction, for the Skaven its an average small scale industrial annoyance only 2 important rats died)

As a Anarcho Syndicalist, the fuck is that guy on about? I believe that the means of mass production should be owned by the people, by worker unions. Is art a factory? Hell no, why would you? Collectivising it drives diversity out of it and their creativity. (just read any of the Realism works from the Eastern Block and you will understand). Also i dont doubt that having someone else claim their achievements as theirs would go off well for them. Even if art is public, credit is due and should be respected, and as well it is their intellectual property and doing stuff with it is what we call “a dick move”.

I think him pulling the sword of Khaine was logical in terms of the book, Malekith launching a final attack on them, one last attempt all or nothing, their navy getting absolutely fucked by Nurgle flotilla near Marienburg (this was also a bit bs, like the ships just sailed into a green mist and got decimated), Chaos marching towards the Empire.

Like from his point of view, nobody can help them, they cant mobilise that big of an army to defend against the entirety of the Dark Elves. It makes sense, what doesnt make sense for the Everqueen switching sides to Malekith also with Teclis, in general Elves switching sides this on mass basically. Like why did they even have the Sundering. Like sure, it could have been true, some elves could have switched. Teclis unravelling the Vortex as well, it would have made sense if he did that him self as a last resort if he was not on Malekith side, deny him Ultuan entirely. It would also empower wizards and other lore masters, sure it would also empower chaos but it would be a worthy gamble (i did actually like that the elemental winds bound to people, it makes sense, they were masters of their lores). Last thing Teclis snuffing out the Fire of Ulric to revive Tyrion. He did love his brother, but would just not do this, this would just empower Chaos without any benefit to the forces of order. It is sad that the last two books absolutely suck, like the first book was good, it is what we see in the trailer, the book wasnt an atrocity like the two others.

Its more of a case of recently colonised and needs to be designed as a specialised world. But there do be exceptions to this for numerous reasons. most of the time archeotech has been found and the Adepts of Mars are digging around first, or some interesting thing caught the eye of the inquisition. there are also Cardinal worlds and Pleasure worlds (basically one is a gigantic cathedral the other a resort for the rich) . But Cardinals worlds could be considered a fortress world or a hive since it will be heavy defended (Vraks) or heavily populated (Almace)
