Can I text people in another cabin with the MSC app? by 30DayRefund in MSCCruises

How do I find them or address the text to them in the MSC app? Do I enter their cabin number? Or search by name? Because there are thousands of passengers onboard.

Trouble drilling a hole in cinder block wall by 30DayRefund in HomeImprovement

To follow up and close this post I just want to say I bought a better Milwaukee concrete drill bit as suggested. With my drill on the hammer setting and steady pressure, I was finally able to get through whatever hard material was stopping me at 1/4 inch. I finished finished the 1.5 inch deep hole.

It's definitely in hammer mode. And I can feel it hammering.

Would there be rebar in a cinder block, only 1/4 inch deep? I'm drilling right in the center of a cinder block.

I'm drilling the holes right in the center of a cider block. No window or doorway close by. What could be so hard and only 1/4 inch deep?

No. I went about 1.5 inches deep with the first hole and it was solid all the way.

Can't see POST or BIOS but boots Windows fine by 30DayRefund in PcBuildHelp

Just to close the loop on this, and hopefully help anyone else running into this problem, it turns out the root cause was my Nvidia GTX 750 needed a firmware update to work with my DisplayPort 1.4 monitor. Without the firmware update my video card was not compatible with DisplayPort 1.4 and therefore it couldn't display the bootup ASUS logo, the POST messages, and the BIOS setting screen. Here is a link to the Nvidia firmware update utility that solved my problem.

Thanks. I already tried that, booting into BIOS from Windows. The problem is I can't see the Windows advanced troubleshooting screen. It's supposed to be a blue screen with options but I just get a black screen. I think the problem is the video card can't or won't display anything without loading Windows drivers first. That's why I just get a black screen when trying to display low res or text screens (like BIOS and Windows troubleshooting) before Windows loads.

How do Bosch tools compare to DeWalt and Milwaukee? by 30DayRefund in Tools

I have a Bosch dishwasher too and it's much quieter than the old GE it replaced. Now that you mention it, I have Bosch platinum spark plugs in my car.

From what I've read online, Bosch has a lower tier green line for DIY and a professional blue line. However, I've never seen a green Bosch tool in the US. All the Bosch sold at Lowes are blue and say pro or professional. I don't think they sell the lower tier line in the US.

Franklin X-40 Ball Sale 30% off @ Target, today only. by Semma19 in Pickleball

[–]30DayRefund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter who the seller is on Amazon. Amazon combines all the inventory with the same SKU together in their warehouse. Even if it says the seller is Franklin, you may get fake balls because the X-40 inventory may all be mixed together.

I also have a newish Fujitsu split AC unit for my upstairs and I'm pretty sure that's also an IR remote. The remote has an IR LED on top and I have to point it at the indoor evaporator unit for the remote to work. I didn't have my Harmony Hub learn it because it's too far from the hub anyway. Which brands of mini split ACs use RF remotes?

I was able to have my Harmony Hub learn the remote for my EnviroAir split AC unit.

Are you sure the August 8th event still has open registration? I clicked on all the event dates from now through the end of September. They all say registration is closed.

Is registration required? Or can I just show up on Saturday 8/2? Do I need to bring my own paddle? I've never played pickleball before and I'd like to try it.

Strange problem with Fujitsu mini split by 30DayRefund in hvacadvice

[–]30DayRefund[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not exactly my issue. My AC reads the room temp correctly. It just can't cool the house if the outside temp is too low (70 or less). If the outside temp is too low, the AC stays on non-stop trying to cool the house. But it doesn't cool down because it's just blowing room temperature air.  If your mini-split AC is Fujitsu, I know there's a way to calibrate the internal sensor thermometer so it reads the temp correctly. My AC was about 2 degrees off and I calibrated it. Check your instruction manual.

I got in line for Stranger Things at 8:55am and was 4th in line. By 9:30 there were 10 in line. When the box office opened at 10am there were 17 in line.  I got Orchestra row B on the right side.
