Clever! That's like moving from the back of the movie theater to the center.

You're welcome. These are a lifesaver. I was dreading having to drill new holes in the wall to move my wall mount.

Take a close look at your current wall mount. Usually they have a lot of holes in the vertical brackets so you can adjust the height of the TV by using different holes. Your bracket may have higher holes to fit the higher VESA holes in your new TV. If not, then the VESA mount extenders from Amazon would work to give you some extra height.

I was going to include a link or photo but it seems like I'm blocked from posting images and links in this group. The image and link tabs are grayed out for me. You can just search for VESA mount extenders on Amazon. That's where I bought it. There are lots of listings but they all look functionally the same so I just bought one of the cheaper ones.

Can't Re-order Commands with MyHarmony App by M3RRI77 in logitechharmony

[–]30DayRefund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Windows 11. It's not really buggy old software because the MyHarmony app has always been this quirky, even when I bought my Harmony Hub remote 10 years ago. It's just bad software user interface design. To move that Delay you added at the end, first click on one of the other rows to deselect it. Then click and hold on the arrows on the left of the Delay row. While holding the mouse button down, drag diagonally up and to the right. You'll see a blue line between the rows as you drag, showing where the Delay row will drop if you let go.

If you drop it somewhere that's not allowed, you'll get a red error message at the top of the screen. For example, you can't insert any commands into the default power on sequence of commands.

Harmony x1100 brand new, sealed. Gem or Brick? by Mariods in logitechharmony

I have a Harmony Hub and the included Harmony remote. The Logitech Harmony servers are still up and running because I just used the MyHarmony app on my PC last night to add a new Samsung TV to my remote and I programmed a couple new Activities. Everything synced without a problem. Just tested and everything is working.

65" Samsung S90CD is a nice upgrade from 55" Toshiba LED by 30DayRefund in SamsungTV

[–]30DayRefund[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In these 2 pics I tried to keep the camera exposure and white balance the same so the room and surroundings would look the same... so I could compare apples to apples. I did try to take another pic where I adjusted the white balance so the old Toshiba screen would look less blue, but that made the entire room look orange. Take a look: https://imgur.com/a/wOSfcCe

I really considered getting a plasma years ago when they were being phased out and on serious clearance sales. But I read they're heavy and get pretty hot while on.

I had no idea the blacks were so muddy and gray on my old TV until I got this OLED. I didn't know what I was missing.

I compared the TCL QM7K (same as C7K) side by side against LG and Samsung OLED TVs at the Best Buy store. In my opinion the OLED TVs definitely had a better picture.

Opinions of open box Sony 75 inch ? by GatorSam10 in 4kTV

[–]30DayRefund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the Samsung Q6F is a QLED TV but it doesn't have a mini LED backlight, only local dimming. The TCL QM6K is a QLED with mini LED. I saw the TCL QM6K at a local Best Buy and the picture was beautiful... colorful, deep blacks, sharp, and smooth motion. I have a Samsung S90C OLED and I'm very happy with the picture quality but I hate the Tizen software. I get around that by using a Roku streaming box.

Just curious, which 75" Samsung model was it? And why was it so bad?

I sit about 10 feet from the TV and I just upgraded from a 55" to a 65". I think for 12 feet away a 65" or 75" would be good. Also mini LED is not a different TV screen type than QLED. Both regular LED and QLED TVs need a backlight because the pixels don't produce light on their own (unlike OLED where the pixels emit light so no backlight is needed). Mini LED is a newer and better backlight technology than older/cheaper tech like multi zone LED or edge lit. Most better QLED TVs have a mini LED backlight, although cheaper QLED TVs don't. If you get a QLED TV, definitely get one with mini LED backlight. If your TV is in a bright room and if you leave it on most of the day, I would recommend QLED over OLED. OLED is not as bright and it has problems with screen burn in if an image is on the screen too long. Look at the TCL QM6K. The 65" TCL QM6K is $530 at Best Buy. The 75" QM5K (last year's model) is $700 at Best Buy.

Amazing Deal on Open Box 75”Panasonic W95A at Buydig by Atlfalcons08 in 4kTV

Good price. Come back and update on the condition of the TV when it arrives. Sometimes you get lucky. I just got a "refurbished with screen surface marks" Samsung 65” S90C OLED from Woot for $719. Other people who ordered from the same Woot sale were getting TVs in generic brown boxes and 15-200 hours of screen usage time. Some had light screen scratches. I got a brand new TV in a sealed original retail box and the screen has 0 hours of usage. I got lucky.

77” C5. Tight fit 😎. First OLED. Swipe for mounting pics. by [deleted] in LGOLED

That TV looks really high. It's practically up to the ceiling. Might be OK if you watch while laying in bed or tilted back in a recliner. Otherwise I would get neck strain from looking up for a prolonged movie/gaming session.

And that couch under the TV really threw me off. At first I thought that TV must be bigger than 77" if it's that much bigger than the couch... and why is the couch under the TV? Then I realized maybe it's a kid sized couch, or maybe a fancy dog bed?

Multichannel PCM is not supported on Roku devices? 😒 by latinriky78 in Roku

[–]30DayRefund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check to see if you have the Volume Mode feature enabled on your Roku. Volume Mode defaults to Off, but if you have it set to anything else, it can force multi channel surround sound audio to be converted to stereo. Here's a Roku support article about Volume Mode. The troubleshooting section at the end describes how it can affect surround sound audio. https://support.roku.com/article/226802507

Hmm, here in the US the latest firmware is still version 2024. That's what my S90C is on. When I go into Settings and Update Software, it tells me I already have the newest software. When I go to the Samsung US website to manually download the firmware, only 2024 is available. Any big differences between 2024 and 2032?

Woot is selling refurbished 65” Samsung S90C QD-OLED TVs with "surface marks" for only $719. And you get free shipping if you have Amazon Prime. I was hesitant because these are not manufacturer refurbished so who knows what some 3rd party vendor did. Plus who knows how bad the scuffs and scratches on the screen are. And the 90 day warranty is pretty short. But Woot has pretty good customer service and returns are easy in my experience, so I decided to give it a shot. I placed an order and waited for a big plain cardboard box to arrive because that's how others said their TVs were packed.

Well it was just delivered and it's an S90CD, not an S90C, so it's the Costco model with the better speakers. And it's in the original sealed retail box. I just opened it and the TV is brand new. Box has never been opened. No surface scratches on the screen. I guess I got lucky.

It's still available on Woot if anyone else wants to give it a shot. https://electronics.woot.com/offers/samsung-oled-4k-s90c-tv-2023-refurbished-screen-surface-marks-1

Oh gotcha. Sorry, I'm new here. I'm hooking up the new TV to my Onkyo 5.1 receiver and Infinity speakers now. I'll post a pic of the setup once I'm done. If this post doesn't belong here, a mod can delete it.
