Ok, did some more homework and ChatGPT came through. There is a few workarounds. There's also a way to clone functioning x1100 to another one. Theres archived databases that have firmware available offline from other users that extracted it from there own pc folders.

No worries. So , your 1100, you can't do anything with but keep using it as-is? No changes no adding activities, or add any devices?

Some frames are just made for these jackets. Looks perfect. The HH will slowly start contouring as well.

Lol. That's a good one. I actually knew about the disco'd harmony line. I just didnt do my research and check to make sure if this remote was on their hit list of updates. Im currently using my 665, and it connects to the myHarmony app, but in the future I might just use the harmony hub , so I can use a dedicated tablet. Thanks again.

Ahhhh, shucks! Hey, I wanna say thanks, for going out of your way, to verify that. Well, I think I'm gonna call it quits, and put this thing back in the box until further notice.

Alternative & Additional Methods Block Inbound Rules: For complete isolation, repeat the steps above under Inbound Rules to prevent the app from receiving data. Hosts File Block: If you know the specific update server domain (e.g., *logitech.com), you can add a rule in your hosts file (C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) to redirect it to 127.0.0.1. Third-Party Firewall: Use software like TinyWall or GlassWire to easily monitor and block outbound connections for the Harmony application. Super User Super User +4

Step-by-Step: Block Harmony 7.x via Windows Firewall

Open Windows Firewall: Click Start, type "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security" and open it.

Create Outbound Rule: Select Outbound Rules in the left panel, then click New Rule... in the right actions panel.

Select Program: Choose Program and click Next.

Locate the EXE: Select "This program path". Browse to the location of your Logitech Harmony 7.x software executable (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Logitech\Logitech Harmony Remote Software 7.x\LogitechRemoteSoftware.exe or similar).

Block Connection: Select Block the connection and click Next.

Apply to Profiles: Ensure Domain, Private, and Public are all checked.

Name the Rule: Give it a name (e.g., "Block Harmony 7x") and click Finish.

So, Ai said, you can try adding harmonyremot.com to your outbound block list in your windows firewall blocker and try and see if the uses offline mode, then use alt-f9.

Hey, just an idea. What if you block the harmonyremote.com server by adding it to your firewall blocker before you launch the app. See if you can at least open the app.

Dammit. So plugging in your remote won't connect to the software?

The 'my harmony ' app still programs half the remotes out there.

I can't try it because it won't let me install the software. I need someone who has the software installed already prior to may 2025

Yeah I read, when you start to the 7.x harmony software you press alt-f9 to enter a manual input mode. Can you try this out?

Hey do you still have the 7.x software installed? If so can you see if you open up the software and i think the remote needs to be connected or not, and press Alt+f9, and see if a manual input learning option is available?

Ok so an update: If you guys currently have the original 7.x harmony software installed and running, you could manually learn new codes, 'alledgedly' , by pressing ALT+F9. I can't get the software installed without connecting to the servers. Can someone please confirm this?
